I booked our flights for October with Monarch in October 2012. So this afternoon I got an email from them to say that they have changed the return flight to 2 days before our original return date. As we have booked our accommodation etc it is not an option for us to cut our holiday short by 2 days. They give the option of claiming a refund but when I try to submit this claim, the page is unobtainable - 'runtime error'. So I have emailed with no response. I have tried to phone their call centre which on the web site is show as open till 20.00 hours - but get a recorded message that the office closes at 5pm. I have now booked and paid for alternative flights with J2 (I know - I was trying to escape!) So now need the refund as soon as possible. Needless to say, I a very cross - to put it mildly:mad:

That's not good news for you and maybe for us too! We are just looking for some flights in the middle of October from Leeds and had seen some decent prices with Monarch. However, when I looked earlier this afternoon I saw that the flights we were looking at had doubled in price for the return leg. Looks like they are reducing their frequency and "doubling up" on the remaining flights, making them very crowded and expensive too. Maybe a trip to Manchester or Doncaster instead.

Monarch flights

There must be something going on at Monarch. We've used them for travelling from LGW to PMI in January for the last few years so we can be out for San Antoni. In January 2014, there are only two Monarch flights out of Gatwick on 3rd & 6th January 2014 and then nothing till February 2014. :(

After contacting Monarch ceo office the refund was dealt with promptly:)
