The beached boat in front of the Miramar has finally been removed :D.

It looks like it is currently on the beach or prom as you can see the mast. They must have been able to crane it out of the water I guess.

Yes there are a few photos on FB showing the crane in action, another boat a bit further along has also been taken off ;).

Seems strange looking at that web cam and not seeing it! Was there for such a long time :)

Maybe they will set it up on the beach for the children to play on. A similar arrangement seems to work well in Emmerdale. Er, so I'm told  Then there was the Black Pearl on New Brighton beach, sadly destroyed by stormy weather.

They have completely removed the small motor cruiser that was on the beach. The yacht is now on the beach right outside Pascalino minus mast , deck fittings etc. They had a low loader there but for some reason did not remove the hull. When the crane lifted it out of the sea the keel snapped off and is still in the water.

The cost of doing all this must be enormous!

Another yacht has unfortunately been beached next to the Illa D' Or as of yesterday, it was a very windy day!

Now that all the beached boats have been removed work has started on repairing the damage done on the Pine Walk and other areas of the front ;).

According to MDB - the opening of beaches has now been moved forward to Phase 2, and that Mallorca is likely to enter this phase next Monday.

I hope the MDB are correct this time (unlike with their report on the removal of time slots) it's not official yet but fingers crossed ;).

At the moment the shore line of Albercuix beach is littered with very small broken bit of pottery and shards of glass. We picked up some yesterday but the waves are washing more in, so please be careful. I presume that these came from when the beached yachts were smashed up to remove them.

This has been posted on FB by Som Pollenca :-

The cleaning of the beaches of El Moll and La Cala is about to begin
The Residents Association is waiting for Costes to give permission to manage some services

The Associació de Veïns del Moll will be in charge of cleaning the beaches of Port de Pollença and Cala Sant Vicenç. Miquel Cifre, its president, indicates that they hope to start this task on Monday. The tender in question was put out to tender on Wednesday 3, it was not until Friday 12, however, that it was announced that the association chaired by Cifre " had taken out the contract ", explains Councilor Maria Buades. He added that they still " need more documents ."

They set up Formentor beach

On the other hand, Miquel Cifre points out that they have asked the Demarcation of Coasts to manage the umbrellas and hammocks on the beaches of the Moll. However, they are awaiting confirmation. In the event that it is a positive resolution, they hope to be able to start providing the service in early July.

So hi Sparky, asking you as you seem to be in the know!!! Do you think beds and brollies will come out this year?? Please xx

Sorry, as we are due out on 30th August and my husband saying he deffo needs a subbed??!! X

Janey latest is that the sun bed operative is waiting confirmation from the Costas, without this they cannot put beds and brollies onto the beach.

I can see from the webcam that they have started to put up the posts for the brollies on the beach by Tamarells

I saw that too and noticed the different angle they’ve been placed at for good social distancing :)
