Pepe's Restaurant

Does anyone know if Pepe's restaurant opposite the Flora Apartments will be open this year. I seem to remember that there was a possibility that he was moving to a new restaurant. My 10 year old grand-daughter loves visiting to feed his parrot.

There is a "for sale" sign in the window and i was told he was opening another one, but i was also told that he always says he is moving so watch this space.

As far as I know Pepe is currently in his restaurant (opposite the Flora) preparing it for an anticipated opening in March. "Can't wait"!

I take it he got rid of the "new chef " there then .? when we went in there last year we ordered chicken and it came flash fried and literally raw in the middle..he`s a great guy is pepe but you can`t go trying to poison people whilst they are on holiday..lol ..or at any time for that matter!When I told him about it..that is to say not complained about it he just shrugged his shoulders and said "qe no problemo we`ll recook it for you eh?.."WTF?.It was the first place we ever ate in-in puerto de pollenca, I really hope it improves for this year!...

I agree, only been once and we all had a full english, it tasted like it had all been deep fried, even the parrot wouldn,t eat it.

He's been saying he's closing for the last 15 yrs! Saw him last week, seemed to be getting ready to open. I used to go lots when the kids were young, he does give value for money, though i'm still trying to chew one of his steaks..

Called in for drinks lots of times, only had a meal once. There were 6 of us and i have to say it was excellent and darned good value for money.

To be fair my answer was tongue in cheek! As Sparky says he gives very good value, and i would expect him to do very well this summer.

Walked by today and there is a lot of painting and cleaning going on, so maybe he will open this weekend.
