Sadly though height is not the problem - you get the odd high rise everywhere. The problem is the never ending expansion of the port on areas that were supposed to be protected such as the hill at the back of the port - that was protected land that should never have been built on but look at it now![]()
I fear that council pockets are deep and receptive!!
Totally agree GG. Gone are the days when you looked at a mountain - or hill - and thought, That will be like that forever. Such a shame.
I read recently somewhere that there is a lobby group of some type, working towards the saving of the Tramontana mountains and close areas, turning them into national treasures or protected areas, which will effectively stop any building on them. Hope they get somewhere before its too late. Gets my vote!
