* Mallorca got over the line and made it into the play-offs after a brilliant campaign in which we only lost five games. We were the second highest scorers (51) only bettered by Elche, 54, and we had the best goals against stat with 27. We've led Group III for 31 games, going top and staying there from 1 October.

Now comes the hard part. As to the all-important play-offs, rumour has it they'll take place on 20 and 27 May. Likely opponents are Rayo Majadahonda, Mirandes or Cartagena. Mirandes are the team who virtually put us down to Segunda B last season and are the only team we could do well to avoid. Cartagena in the Murcia region would be the most accessible to Mallorca fans with a sea crossing a cheap option.
..
Real Mallorca will take on Mirandés from Burgos province in their play-off chosen from the winners of the four groups in Segunda B.
Mirandés had the best record in terms of points tally of the four group winners. Their 76 points were three more than Mallorca's, but they lost three more games than Mallorca - eight versus five. Of the three potential opponents, they were probably the one that Mallorca least fancied. They are also familiar opponents as they were relegated from the second division along with Mallorca at the end of the 2016-2017 season.
The first leg of the play-off is due to be at Mallorca's Son Moix Stadium, kick-off 12 midday on 20 May. The return leg is scheduled for 27 May at 6pm, though TV may decide otherwise.
They are promoted to the second division.
