Thank you for all the advice on here, my husband and son managed to get tickets to the game and said it was fantastic.

Blooming heck....5th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very late winner yesterday week makes up for the even later goal conceded last week.

What's going on? Another away win at Valladolid 2-1 puts Mallorca 4th. The weekends other games will most likely mean a couple of clubs will go back above Mallorca but wow, what a start to the season.
Vamos Los Bermilliones.

Walloped by Barca tonight. Awful mistake for 1st goal made up for by good equaliser but then dodgy pen for 2nd. Was one way traffic after that and could have been many more than 5

Needing a miracle after the latest loss yesterday.

A shell-shocked Real Mallorca need a miracle to avoid relegation to the Spanish second division after a crushing 2-0 defeat against fellow strugglers Levante on a wet Sunday night in Valencia.

...The defeat sees the Palma side stuck in second-to-last place with just 39 points and the last home game against already-relegated Oviedo....

...Next Saturday night at 9pm in the final match of the season, even if we win, we still have to rely on other results going our way to survive....

As good as down now I think. Think also La Liga's deciding element if points are equal is on head to head not goal difference. I think only a huge win coupled with all the other results going in Mallorca's favour will suffice.

Mallorca are in the biggest trouble of all. Los Bermellones must beat Real Oviedo at Son Moix to have any
hope, and then keep an eye on results at Montilivi and the Coliseum.

Their only chance to survive is if Girona beat Elche, Getafe beat Osasuna and Levante avoid defeat against Real Betis. In that case, Mallorca would stay up on head-to-head three-way tie with Osasuna and Elche, with the other two joining Real Oviedo in Segunda.

There's a Wiki, saying
If points are equal between two or more clubs, the rules are: <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/La_Liga#cite_note-17"><span>[</span>11<span>]</span></a>

  • If all clubs involved have played each other twice:
    • If the tie is between two clubs, then the tie is broken using the head-to-head goal difference for those clubs (without away goals rule).
    • If the tie is between more than two clubs, then the tie is broken using the games the clubs have played against each other:
      • a) head-to-head points
      • b) head-to-head goal difference
