Roadworks

Hi

I was just wondering what the current road works on the promenade are for.
They look quite comprehensive (as viewed from 'Pollensa Cam')
Seems odd that so much extensive work is going on here particularly so soon after the recent 'One Way' work.
Also why does the road now appear RED.?

They have been laying new pipes/conduit etc as part of the ongoing semi pedestrianisation work, the road appears red but that is just meshing put up to prevent parking.
