We tried here as we couldn't get into where we wanted to go and so glad we did, the food and setting were fantastic. We cycled around to Alcudia again and had a lovely long lunch in the back terrace, two massive plates of Pa amb oli, two large beers, two large wines and a bottle of water 30 euros, what great value

SWS, the vegetables a la plancha looks absolutely delicious.....is there somewhere in the Port serves this, I don't really look at vegetarian options on menus but this would be something that I would definitely enjoy. Looks more appetising than some of the meaty pics of late (no disrespect to the photographers!)....maybe I am on the turn! :)

Hi Favie, no not really, unless anyone else knows better, Manduca used to do it, but I haven't tried them since the change of ownership, and also Mojito as well, but other than that no! its a shame as its so easy to do and as you say it looks delicious and so appetising.

Thank you SWS :)
I thought Bellavista may do it, anyway will keep my eyes peeled when I'm out in August. I had a look at Manduca's FB page and there is a picture of Salmon a la plancha which looked quite nice!

SWS

Your veggies look great, and so does The Pa Am.... wotsit, ..... but what are the long thingies with the dark coloured sauce on them please??

Regards.

Mozzarella sticks, not typically Spanish I know, but very nice!

Was just thinking the same looking at the picture ... ;)

Yes, certainly sounds nice ..... I'll look around Tesco's tonight to see if they have any ...... or maybe just wait 39 more days and get them where you did.

Bring it on!!!

Also, whilst I'm on a foodie thread, are there any good fishmongers in PP where I can purchase fresh fish - not frozen - especially shellfish???

Yesterday I posted that I had dined at Los Zarzales.

One thing that both my wife and myself agreed about ( which doesn´t occur very often ) were the excellent fried vegetables.

I can´t remember seeing that option on the menu, but I am sure they would agree to do it, if so asked.

Both of the big supermarkets have a fish counter.

Any day after 18.00 at the local fish market ( Lonja ) in Puerto Alcudia, where freshly caught fish, gambas and lobster is sold before it is sent to Palma.
