San Antoni 2012.

I'm just wondering when the timetable of events will be published for the 2012 Sant Antoni. Just at the point of checking all the flights, car hire etc. Never been before as working & on a "wish list" Thanks to anyone who can help!!

As if by magic Anyone hoping to get out for this, I have flights booked as I say, looking forward to going as not been before, reports say its the best fiesta of the year so hopes are high, looking forward to catching up will old friends and maybe meeting up with anyone else over then, Marina Cafe is open through the winter isn't it? maybe there, anyway any updates would be useful.

Animagic, all i know at the moment is that the fiesta will be Mon/Tue the 16th/17th January. There are some ideas for things in the pipeline but nothing concrete yet, i will of course post as soon as i get any more info .

Thanks Sparky, you always do a great job! Not 100% sure we are coming over but it's looking good! Have an 88yr old Dad who is due to have an op soon so just holding back a bit! Would really like to meet up with yourself & other Forum members but we often book Thurs flights which is when folks meet up at the Marina cafe! Perhaps we'll have to walk round with a flower on our coats so we can spot each other! Sometimes we've been in a restaurant & it's been temping to shout out "Anyone from the Forum here"?

Have just looked at the concil website and they seem to be getting their act together, i know it's in Catalan but they have posted details for license applications and also there is something about a photo competition.

Hi Sparky hope you had a good Xmas Sadly I don't think we're going to be able to come over now due to my Dad's health problems, but I hope you'll post some photos like last year so I can still enjoy the fun(sort of) from home! Best wishes to you and the team for 2012.

San Antoni at Hardley's.

Night of the Fires, bbq, arroz brut, Street party with bar and D.I.S.C.O, followed by Day of the Tree open from 9am serving our full menu all day then... LIVE MUSIC directly after the tree climbing with GUILLERMO (Hustlers) .

San Antoni in Nostalgia.

On the night of the fires Nostalgia will have a bonfire and BBQ from 6pm (full menu also available) with music from Colin until late .

On the day of the Pines they will be open from 11am serving bacon baps, tea, coffee or alcoholic beverages .

And so the countdown starts to what is my favourite fiesta, i know quite a few of our members are coming over this year so it will be great to catch up.
As i have already posted Hardley's and Nostalgia will be taking part in the fun but remember lots of the local bars do their own thing, if you are here do take the time to wander around so you really get to experience the atmosphere....it's great .

I have just been given this info for activities in the TOWN :-

SANT ANTONI POLLENSA:
Saturday at 23:00, pyrotechnic spectacular with demons around Plaça Seglars, old town.
Monday at 21:00, the lighting of the fires.
Tuesday at 14:00, the pine is brought from the Ternelles finca for the climb which is usually done in the evening.

I am beginning to think it is possible that the old Bar Cultural will re-open in time for San Antoni. Work has been going on apace, today there are new tables inside (no chairs as of yet).............dare we hope?...........it would be nice as at the moment the square is dead at night.

I have no idea what it will be called SWS, nobody i speak to knows anything except it's being done the guy that owns the building. Can't see it being called "Bar Cultural" though because the name went with the old tennants to their new bar.
