Sparky, help required

Morning Sparky, would you be able to help please. I log in, write a report which may take quite a while, and then when I try and submit it, a message states I'm not logged in and the whole thing disappears.


I have the same problem at home sometimes on normal PC, but there I can copy and paste from a word document, which I'm unable to do with an IPad.

Any advice would be gratefully received.

Hi pinewalker, just got an iPad myself, try using 'notes' to write the post, copy and paste like you would from your PC

I used to have this problem when writing a long post and all i can suggest is when you log in, check the "Remember me" box beside the "Username" box. It works for me .

Another suggestion - but don't know if this works with an Ipad, is to 'copy' the post just before you submit it. With windows this is ctrl-c & there is a way to copy using an Android Tablet. Then if you lose it, you should still be able to 'paste' it back in.

I sometimes do this, just in case, when I think it's taking a while to submit.

Many thanks for all the suggestions, Sparky appears to have cracked it with the ticking of the "remember me" box. No problems since, I can only think that the Log In feature must "ping off" after a certain time, even though it states at the top of the page that one is still logged in.

As I said, I have had the same problem at home, but always do a "back up" on a word document, that I can then just copy and paste. I'm aware that one can now download Word and Excel onto an IPad, but think I'll quit whilst I'm still ahead on that score.

But again, greatly appreciate the feedback.
