Arriving on Monday 2nd January - will the shops be open as we will need some basic provisions. It is a holiday in the U.K. - not sure about out in Puerto Pollensa.Know that the spa near the car park in town is usually open when all else is shut!

This is a bit confusing, i have looked at a number of websites and although it is a public holiday in some areas of Spain, Mallorca isn't one of them. No notices in Hipercentro yet but will let you know if they do post something .

We arrive on the 6th January. Does anyone know if any of the supermarkets will open. An old post in this section said Hyper open Sunday hours, is this still true. We would be glad of any info.Thank you.

Looking at their websites Eroski and Hiper Centro will be closed. The Spar on Roger de Flor is usually open as is Store Formentor.

Alcampo is definitely closed on the 6th, but open on the 5th

A bit late now but have noticed that Eroski is closing tomorrow Friday, then opening on Saturday and then closing on Sunday and Monday.

Regarding Eroski, I am very pleased to see that they sell Lyles Golden Syrup !

Not sure about the supermarkets but there is a little shop on Carrer Joan XXIII which is open on Sunday and also the little Spar shop on the corner opposite Bodeguita.
You'll be able to get your milk etc there
