I would not be too surprised if we didn't have to walk quite as far to Ca'n Josep in the near future.

Josep says that Can Josep is not relocating.

Please can i ask everyone to not try to start untrue rumours about businesses, it can be very damaging to them. I would also remind you all that the forum is for sharing info and advice and not for idle gossip and wind-ups, thank you.

Really very disappointed to hear this. We've never been Can Josep. Does it have a similar menu? ☹️

Expressing a thought not starting a rumour.

Can josep

Can Josep, Frito mallorquin......heaven!

AKA pointless speculation!

Never went to Tango so shan't miss it at all.

:)

Josep has continued to provide the same ambience out at previously named Tango / Ca Vostro. We will miss Manolo's whistling hospitality wherever. Great views out over the bay at Josep's which we also enjoyed when it was run as Tango by Manolo. Life moves on ---- All the best Manolo & best wishes to his successors.

That's it Madam S. You keep em in shape, unruly bunch. A few lashes with the cat should do it.
I've been on the receiving end in the passed and I can tell you I'm still licking my wounds

Sorry to read Tango has closed down.

We were in Tango in September and as usual had a very pleasurable lunch.

We will miss Manolo, his whistling and professional manner.

Best wishes to whoever takes over the restaurant.

So sorry to read of the closure of Tango. we have been going to PP for approx. 30 years and have always gone to Tango, usually on over first night. Always had excellent food and service. One particular memory was on our 25th wedding anniversary, we had been to what was considered a more upmarket restaurant for our anniversary meal, the food was ok but the atmosphere and service not up to scratch. We went for a nightcap to Tango when it was opposite Mulligans and sat outside, Manolo came and sat at the next table for an end of evening drink and asked how our evening went, I explained it wasn't as good as we had hoped for, within a couple of minutes he arrived with a small bottle of cava and 2 glasses and said with my compliments. It probably cost him no more than a couple of euros but it made our evening. What a gentleman. He will be missed. We hope he has a long and happy retirement with the grand children.

I feel sorry for the cat. Poor thing.

Seriously I'm sad to here of Tangos closure. First went there when it was on the edge of the square. Brilliant food service and staff. Especially got along with Louis who I still see having a drink in Manolos.

Tango Restaurant

Hi All
Does anyone know if Tango Restaurant has been sold, I am hoping it won't stay empty for too long

Please dont tell me Tangos has closed..........hope the family are ok. We have known them since 1987.

The reason we have been going to PP since 1987 is to spend most of our evenings at Manolos.........first in the tapas bar he ran with Vicente.......then Tangos. I am so gutted its an end to an era. I thought Marcos would take over one day, he is a chip off the old block, though he has his lovely twin girls now. Oh no :(

Are the premises empty at the moment?

Such a shame! It was the only place in the Port in August that could accommodate our large party of 25 (many of them children) and do it with a warm welcome and good humour!

I'll miss it.
