Are the premises empty at the moment?

Such a shame! It was the only place in the Port in August that could accommodate our large party of 25 (many of them children) and do it with a warm welcome and good humour!

I'll miss it.

C'an Josep can cater for large groups

C'an Josep would easily accommodate you all. They do weddings for much bigger numbers. Josep and his team will look after you really well.

Going to TANGOS was one of the things that has taken me back to PP over the last 30 years. First met Manolo, Vicente and family when they had the tapas bar in 1987. So am gutted...........hope Marcos pops up somewhere, he is a chip off the old block! x

Restaurant Changes This Year

Does anyone know where, if anywhere, Marcos of Tango, Manolo's son, is working this year??

Or has he moved away??

We bumped into him earlier this year and he told us he was working at a hotel in Alcudia. He seemed happy with everything. I think he has a bit more time to himself now.

It is sad to see Tango all closed up. Is there any news of it being sold yet?

Is Tangos still closed, will really miss it, do we know how the family are? Also Vicente Manolos brother, hope he is well. Have known them since 1987, Tangos was always our favourite restaurant and they were so kind to us after our son died.

Yes it's still closed. The family are well as is Vicente who's son Toni runs El Posito.

Thank you Sparky, we didn’t get to the Port last year due to my ill health, hoping to soon. Will be hard to find somewhere we loved as much as Tango.

Just walked past Tango/Trio - workman taking down all the outside structure.
Going to be opened under the management of La Villa probably in April.
This information was gained by my husband talking to the workman and the fact there was a La Villa van parked outside.

Thanks Carol, I don’t know La Villa, wish young Marco was taking it on, will really miss the family. We go back to 1987 when Manolo and Vicente has the tapas bar. Happy Days!

Do you think it could be Vilacuisines of Marina, Vila Casa, Casa Vila de Mar, El Casinet, Tolos etc?

Sorry - meant Casa Vila and that chain of restaurants.

Ah...like car77 thought you did Carol. Thanks for the update, will be great to see that space in operation again as it was sad to see it lying empty. :)

Just to point out that Vilacuisines don't own El Casinet, it is owned by Emilio Tabare Bovino Rios ;).

I have been told by Toni (Vilacuisines) that they have taken it over and plan to open around Easter, It will be open from 6pm until 2am. as a restaurant and night bar so we will serve food until 00:30 and drinks, cocktails, music till 2am.

It will be good to have the place being used again :D.

Just what the Port needs so looking forward to Toni's new venture. Hooefully it will do well hope but with potentially less visitors this year time will tell.

So pleased to hear this news. Our apartment is just next door and hated seeing the building empty.... can’t wait to try it out and wish them all the best 🍸🍹
