Have to say I agree with some of the sentiments being expressed here. A poor imitation of the original. We visited a couple of weeks ago and it went something like this ...

Sat down (3 of us)
5 minutes later we were told the kitchen was (just) shut but they still had tapas (!)
We said ok
5 minutes later a menu appeared / waiter disappeared
5 minutes later different waiter appeared , did we want drinks ? Eh, yes.
5 minutes later (3rd) individual arrived at table. Sorry, no tapas, who gave you the menus ?
5 minutes later, still no drinks either.

Ho hum , off to Bodeguita. Large Cruzcampos Glacial all round and free (small) tapas as well as fab service. If anyone has never visited this excellent bar, please give it a try.

Very disappointed went last week, didn't think had great choice of Tapas, girls disappointed no chorizo but chicken nuggets and chicken strips on tapas menu.
Found the food quite greasy , agree about the patatas bravas very spicy thick sauce more like tomato puree with chilli added. Loved the old Neptuno think it will be La Cabana for tapas from now on

Try La Llonja cantina (the little bar by the fish quay), they do some lovely tapas, and with a far better view.

Our favourite bar!! tho glad they are serving free tapas again as the bowl of peanuts not the same! menu dia fantastic too.

We won't go in new Neptunos. So sad the old one is no more. Have spent many fantastic times in there over the years and was always fab service and great tapas.

Agree 100%, trouble is the old one is now gone into the history books and can't be resurected. Another problem stems from one person owning the whole of that side. Monopolys are never good for the consumer. Still if i had to choose between seeing that there or a block of appartments i'll take that every time.

Yes that same person does own far too much of that site and alot of the others around the port. Agree, breaks my heart when I walk past the old Tango and there is now an empty premises and apartments. Just not the same Lost all its atmosphere!
