Trip report 7-21 Aug, Overview & Warning!

After reading a few negative comments on here I arrived in PP slightly apprehensive this year. There was no need as it was as lovely as ever and we have already booked for next year after the best holiday of our lives.

However as a gentle warning to all I certainly wont be spending another Sunday evening on the Pine Walk again. Apparently Sunday evening is when alot of the locals are out.
The first Sunday an English girl lost her little boy and it was so distressing to see her. The police got involved and thankfully he was eventually found. My boys were so upset by it and my 5 year old certainly didn't have to be asked twice to hold my hand for the rest of the holiday.
The second Sunday whilst looking at sand sculptures beside the Lemon Lounge I noticed 2 men in their late twenties watching us, they followed us quite a way down the pine walk. My husband discreetly took my purse from me and we held tightly to the boys. We dived into a shop and they waited a few minutes before giving up. We are always quite vigilant because we have so many kids but that was frightening. I just felt that on a Sunday evening the Pine Walk took on a slightly different atmosphere.

Oh no Wrightstuff !!! that is awful, thank god you are very watchful as it could have been another horror story. Just goes to show that we need to be on our guard against these criminals everywhere.

Sundays have always been my favourite day here because local families dress up and come out on mass and i hate to think that criminals are going to spoil what has always been such a special day.

Yes that what i thought. Someone told me it is called promenade night. Early on in the evening was wonderful we sat in Little Italy and watched all the beautiful young local women all beautifully dressed with their kids.. It was probably a one off. Never mind.
