Villa Plus

Good morning,

I am looking for a little feedback on Villa Plus. We have rented villa's in the past directly with the owner but are interested in one in Pollensa for 2017 through Villa Plus. As we have never used this company before I would appreciate if anyone could recommend them.

They are OK, I prefer others but we have used them once before.

All that ever puts me off booking again is the extra charge for what they call 'Accidental Damage Waiver' which is non refundable even if you don't cause any damage.

Just looked at a week that looks good value at £519 and at the checkout £60 ADW charge is added that is an extra 11.5% in a charge.

That just puts me off, far better to build it into the advertised price than charge it at the end as an extra.

Read their reviews on trust pilot. Some great, some dire. I've used them once in Pollensa and once in Corfu. Both times were ok but both times issues with things not working, pool not cleaned and other niggles. A shower door fell off its hinge on top of me, reported to office by email but they never acknowledged or visited. not my first choice

I wasn't going to mention it but we didn't have any hot water for the first few days, a simple error that someone made before we arrived but took a few days to sort out and then was just a dribble and excuses.
Not ideal in a cold early May.

To be fair the prices are reasonable but the properties do appear to be the ones at the bottom end of the market.

Used Villa Plus in PP, Lanzarote and Cyprus and they have always been absolutely excellent with helpful reps. Going to one of their Lanzarote villas in the nest few weeks. Highly recommended.

Used them 4 times for Pollensa and in the Port and using them again arriving next Sunday! Always found the villas excellent, very clean, great facilities and always had visit from their reps at least 3 times over the fortnight - so based on my experiences I'd recommend them.

Mark...which other companies have you used? just come back from california and used airbnb twice...both very good.
used villaplus once and they were fine - but always on the look out for other sources. used solmar a few years back, that was ok, use to use whatever "homeaway" were called 10 years ago - but not so keen now.

Our favorite which was found on this website is sealandvillas

I like them as a hire car is included from a quality hire car company which has always been Autosroig and only the extra full insurance needs paying and fuel.
We only ever do low or mid season holidays so the prices are reasonable for us.

As always you are at the mercy of the local cleaners and staff, any company is only as good as the people in resort that look after everything.
One year we did have a problem with a villa from sealand that wasn't very clean and it was resolved satisfactorily without fuss so we carry on using them. That was the fault of a lazy local cleaner, not the company.
Most of the villas we have rented from Sealand have been perfect.

Not wanting to knock villa plus, just that one experience put us off and I don't like paying extras for damage waiver when it should be hidden in the advertised price in my opinion.
