Having been to Puerto Pollensa for the last 18-20 years or so and never encountered any problems with any villa accommodation, this year began with a nightmare.
I won't go into details as courtesy to this site and also for legal reasons at the moment - but suffice to say that at 5pm on the Saturday of our arrival we were faced with still trying to find alternate accommodation.
Step forward Villa Select's Wendy Hart - someone we actually have known from previous visits with her company.
Thankfully she had a property free - a beautiful place we had actually stayed in with them two years ago, C'an Justo near the old town - she came out to see us later at 6pm, sorted out the paperwork, was very sympathetic to our plight and couldn't have been more helpful - even returning later on with some provisions to get us through the night!
So praise where praise is due - we have told her office in the UK she was a hero/heroine and really saved the start of our two week holiday.

Hello Red Robbo.
So glad there was a good outcome to your bad start. The owner of Ca'n Justo is a good friend of mine and the villa is really lovely. I hope everything gets resolved in your favour.

Hi Sparky,
We met the owner one day - indeed he was a lovely guy and seemed genuinely pleased we loved his place and that we'd been there the year before last.
And I had no idea until he told me that he'd been involved with the Golden Lion for the last 30 years or so!
I suppose his Golden Lion polo shirt should have told me so!
I told him we thought his famous takeaway chickens were some of the best we'd ever tasted and that they had featured in the occasional villa lunch over the years... but I doubt he understood what I was babbling on about!

And i would bet he understood every word ;).
So glad you got to meet him and his chicken. LOL
