Walking in Puerto Pollensa

We are heading to Puerto Pollensa in 3 weeks time and want to do some exploring. We are non drivers and don't mind a long walk - any recommendations?

Can we walk to Formentor for example? Is there any good maps around that would help us?

If the walk is too long, would people recommend taxi's, buses etc?
