Come to Cumbria just 250 miles from London and ski in the lake district national park. We get snow snow and more snow. But we keep going and it's not on the national news like DOWN SOUTH !!! lol
Well of course it would be news worthy down south. As the good folk of Scotland refer to us as southern softies, we have a reputation to live up to.
My late wife used to have a daily commute of 14 miles to London.
Oh how we laughed in the winter months when sometimes the train would take nearly 2 hours to cover that hefty distance.
It was either too wet, cold, windy, leaves on line, frost on line.
I thought she was making things up until I had the misfortune to be with her one time when there was frost on the lines.
I kid you not, we could not get above walking pace because the wheels would not grip the track.
21st century transport is it??????
So have a thought for us folk, we are very delicate and fragile.
One snow flake = weather warning
Two flakes = don't leave home
Three flakes = National emergency.
