Blue Skys

Looking out of the window here in Carlisle Cumbria, not a cloud in the sky wall to wall sun shine. But the lawn is white and the temperature is -2, still nice to see the sun:D

looking out of my window in Carlisle the view is similar to that on the web cam, clear blue sky with just a hint of fluffy clouds, there the similarity ends its very windy and only 4 c roll on April to get some warmth

Well here in Carlisle the sun is out the sky blue and almost cloud free. Now for bad part it's only 3c degrees, chilly but bright

Well it is only minus 3 in the supposedly sunny South of England !

Hoping for something better when we fly out to Malaga at the weekend

Weather

Yes, that's interesting!!

We also have started going to Malaga, three times this year, compared to once to Palma.

Maybe a trend???????

SADLY!!!!

Oh my how I needed PP last weekend when it was -4 and snowing....and our heating decided to pack up!!:mad:

We still visit PP twice a year Tangoman but for this time of the year we prefer the Costa Del Sol and one trip to Palma as well

We go to a liitle Spanish working town called Arroyo de la Miel above the coast at Benalmadena We have been there at least 6 times at Xmas and lovely and sunny So far !! We did a few trips to the Canaries at that time of year and though slightly warmer always cloudy Nothing like some sun to brighten our dull winter

Malaga itself is great to and supposed to have the best Christmas lights in Spain and we have never seen anywhere else as good

Hope everyone has sme nice weather and they can make their journeys safely

I scraped two inches of snow off my drive this morning....again! Grrrrrr.

Jimbo

What is snow !

There has probably been more in Majorca than we have had in the south this winter ------so far !

Plenty of rain though most days

Looking forward to Palma next month

Come to Cumbria just 250 miles from London and ski in the lake district national park. We get snow snow and more snow. But we keep going and it's not on the national news like DOWN SOUTH !!! lol ;)

It is a bit like Wales and the rain. Here we are with yet another day of wind and rain but it would also be on national news if it was London 😉

Well of course it would be news worthy down south. As the good folk of Scotland refer to us as southern softies, we have a reputation to live up to.:)

My late wife used to have a daily commute of 14 miles to London.

Oh how we laughed in the winter months when sometimes the train would take nearly 2 hours to cover that hefty distance.

It was either too wet, cold, windy, leaves on line, frost on line.

I thought she was making things up until I had the misfortune to be with her one time when there was frost on the lines.

I kid you not, we could not get above walking pace because the wheels would not grip the track.
21st century transport is it??????

So have a thought for us folk, we are very delicate and fragile.

One snow flake = weather warning
Two flakes = don't leave home
Three flakes = National emergency.

Fortunately, though, when you get into London, the streets are paved with gold..

To be fair a couple of weeks ago we spent a few days in London and it was colder than at home in Scotland, we still had a great time.:)
