Hi everyone
Just a quick hello from bar Bondia, myself (Claire) and husband Andy along with our 2 year old son Kai have not long taken over the bar. We are situated opposite the Fergus hotel in Calle Bot. We have been coming to Puerto Pollensa for the last 15 years and fell in love with it. We are a small friendly bar offering drinks and snacks. We are open till Dec 13th mainly at weekends for all the sporting events on TV. Everyone welcome pop in and say hello 🤗

Welcome to the forum and the Port, i wish you every success :D.

hello to everyone

I am new to the forum which is proving informative and amusing. Sharon and I live in Abingdon but the only drawback to coming away is leaving our 2 Labradors in kennels.

Hello everyone!

I have been a distant reader for a couple of years but have taken the plunge to join. We come out to the Port a couple of times a year (usually Easter and October half term as my wife and I are both teachers) Our next visit sees us arrive tomorrow and the weather looks like it is going to be amazing.

This forum is great, really informative and great to keep up with what is going on when we are away.

kevc,
At some point in the future, you can drive down with the dogs. There are threads on the forum from folks who have done it :)

Hi Kevc and smith1195, welcome to the forum

Welcome Kev. Know how feel about the dogs. We have two jack Russell s.

Hi Forum,

Just thought I would do a quick post to introduce myself. First started going to Pollensa in maybe 1996/97 and went every year up until 2002... Enjoyed many family holidays there and met some awesome people.

I now live in Sydney Australia and we are going back for a family holiday this June, any guidance or recommendations would be appreciated.

Thanks and nice to meet you.

Joe

Welcome Joeleeds, if you have any specific questions pleas do ask in the relevant areas of the forum so you will get a better response ;).

New to the members forum

Hello. We are new to the members forum although have enjoyed reading the non members pages for some years. This trip ( early Sept ) will be our fourth and once again looking forward to it excitedly, I do not have to tell you what a magic part of the beautiful island it is. This will be the first time that we will require a taxi transfer for two, reading the non members section it would seem there are many different views as in which to choose, we simply want reliability combined with a fair price. Thank you Malcolm and Wendy

Welcome to the forum, it is best to pre book your transfer, i have used many local drivers and they are all very good, there is a set fare for the airport run which is about 77€ ;). The full fare list can be seen here http://www.puertopollensa.com/transport-taxis-bus-trains.html.

Good evening,

My name is Julian and I'm from Southhampton.

When I am here on my frequent visits to Mallorca, I live and rent in Palma, but after having been all over the island, I have decided to buy a property, preferably an apartment, in Puerto Pollensa.

I look forward to maybe contribtuting to this forum.

Thank you,

Julian

Newbie Alert

Hi All, Ive just joined the forum as my wife and I have just bought a house in Puerto Pollensa and thought this forum was a great place to learn all about the area. So hoping I can get all sorts of helpful tips on all manner of stuff!

First one is furniture stores....we would like to find places that sell colourful bedspreads, black metal headboards, chairs (traditional) and generally interesting furniture that will not break the bank. We won't be in a position to actually buy anything until early next year, but planning a short trip soon to check out some things, so would be a great time to travel around and do a recce.

TIA:)

Paul

Hi!

Hi, just to introduce myself, my wife and I have been visiting the area for many years and bit by bit we are getting closer to actually buying something in Pollensa or Puerto Pollensa. So I thought I'd join the forum to learn a bit more and ask some questions. First question; where do I post questions?:) Is there a specific forum for property queries?

Welcome ricky, you will find a lot of info and advice on this section of the forum :- Living & Working in the Pollensa Area - Pollensa Forum, please do use this area for specific questions :).

Evening all. I'm Bob from Northampton and I've been coming to Mallorca for short breaks for the last 18 months with my family. We had week in Pollenca in 2016 followed by a week in Soller last easter and since August we decided to dive in and buy. We've been back to Pollenca twice recently house hunting and we must have seen about 20 properties in various states of repair. I was really taken by a cosy apartment on Carrer de Magallanes but my wife Sue would prefer a little townhouse so after 1 false start (illegal conversion of loft = wasted survey and solicitor) we made an offer on another house in Pollenca and we signed our option contract yesterday so we're locked in and will be heading back at Easter to get the keys move in. I'll be down in PP quite a bit as I do a bit of pedalling (my son does a lot) and we like to eat at the Belleverde restaurant occasionally too. I'm a fairly practical guy so I'll be doing lots of searches to find out where and how to source things. Very excited.

P.S. I love to tinker with bikes so if you want your old bike tuning up then give me a shout.
