Hi Jiggggy m8, doing fine thanks. Great to hear from you. We've planned the flights, narrowed down the apartment search and are almost ready to book. I'm still bike riding and I'm now the doting grandfather of two girls. How have you been?

Hey Steve, looks like we'll be in PP from September 17 through September 24. You picked a really great place to be for seven months.

Mike

Hiker

Good to hear from you and even better to hear that you are recovering from your illness

I visited New York last month for the first time and WOW absolutely loved it ..... it may also interest you to know that I sat on a bench overlooking the River, eating my Magnolia Bakery Cake and pointed across to Long Island and told my friends ( fellow PP fans ) all about "Hikerbiker" who I used to chat to and who lives on Long Island and loves PP

Great to have you back and looking forward to many great posts

Hi Hikerbiker I am in PP from September 17 for week we must meet up.

And me grumpy to my first grand daughter

CD and Snowy,

It's so great to hear from you.

CD, glad you enjoyed New York. Next time any of you come here, please let me know.

For all intents and purposes, I'm basically recovered and just being monitored with no treatment regimen in place or contemplated.

Snowy, my good m8, I really enjoyed meeting you and Pam in PP and our evening at El Posito (along with Portofan and his lovely wife), when you nearly got me plastered by introducing me to several shots of hierbas. And you had the fortitude and stamina to continue on to Bony's!

My partner's name is Susan, she's wonderful and we've been together for almost four years (we met in 2008). We live in Port Washington on Long Island's North Shore. From our bay, we can look across Long Island Sound at New York City's bridges and the Empire State Building (but can't make out Magnolia Bakery LOL).

Snowy, I would very much like to see you again in PP and look forward to meeting you in September. We had such a good time the last trip and I would consider it to be one of the highlights of our holiday. Give my warmest regards, and congrats on being a grandfather, albeit a grumpy one.

It's called Bruxola4, seems nice with good location near the beach, but I don't know much else about it. We're open to suggestions, but would like a no-smoking flat with air conditioning, WiFi and preferably not a three-floor walk-up.

Its a good price for September a nice 10/15 minute walk into town I go for it looks good to me. :)

Hi

Hello everyone

We have been visiting the island quite a bit over the last 26years and we are looking to move to pollensa in the next few months!

I am Max and my husband is Alan.

I just wanted to say hi and get to know about the forum so we can talk to other people about their experiences of life on the island!

Look forward to chatting to you

Take care

Max

Thanks Sparky. You too. We will be able to post more about our move in a few weeks if things go to plan!

Hi Max, we are new to the island and will also be moving to the Pollensa area within the next month, excited and looking forward to meeting new friends

Hi Pennyarcade and Max wishing you all the best with your move i recommend you try to make one of the forum meet ups specially as the season gets under way that way you will get to meet members and and make lots of new friends in the meantime if you need any help or advise on anything even if it seems like a small thing don't be afraid to ask this is the Bible of PP and between everybody on here there is a wealth of knowledge

Hello - Should we choose Puerto Pollensa this year!!

Hi seriously been considering PP this year, but after seeing how many places seem to be closing and the work being done, I'm now not so sure. It sounds like everyhing is run down? Is this a true picture. Had my heart set on coming but don't know what to do.

It also sounds quite expensive there too, what are the supermarket prices like. We would hirer a apartment and eat out some nights. But with 3 children and 2 of them teens with us, we know they never stop eating and drinking. Have considered All inclusive but again the reviews on those hotel with AI don't sound too good.

Have 2 places availabe at the moment that we like the look of. One is called Ancore which I beleive is on Tamarells Beach, and the other is Emma which is near the marina. Anyone know of these and which of the 2 ears are better. My sons is celebrating his 18th birthday whilst we there and would like to go out at night with his girlfriend!!

Sorry if sound bit negative about PP, but previously everything I'd read looked so positive and now really not sure. But in my heart I still want to come.
