Hello

Hi

I am Darcy and have visited Pollensa 5 times. My husband and I originally stayed in a villa, but have since stayed at Hotel Son Sant Jordi and Cal Lloro. We have been unable to make contact with Cal Lloro via email since we made our original enquiry about availability for this year (which they confirmed). However I eventually phoned them to be told that they were selling up and contact and would soon be possible in the normal way, several weeks have passed without success, therefore we have now booked Hotel Juma, also in the square.

We would like to know of any new (or old for that matter) restaurants in Pollensa that are recommended, a decent car hire company, and if possible private airport transfers (as we arrive quite late). When we visited last year, we had to wait over 2 hours in the queue for our car, (at the airport) which to say the least was very frustrating.

Happy to have found this forum!

Hello I was recommended to this forum by my boss. I am having a quiet Friday afternoon at the office so decided to take a look using his time and his computer lol.
I have been lucky to stay in bosses villa and have grown to love Pollensa and look forward to July when I will visit again.

Hi and welcome Darcy, Juma is great choice, so central and close to the bars and restaurants, if you check out the restaurant thread there are lots of reviews of the towns best ones, they now have their own Ruta del tapeo as well, hope you have a great time!

Hi timir and welcome, I wish I had a boss like yours!

I stand to be corrected but as far as i understand it....the Pollensa Town Ruta is not being run by the original organisers, it seems someone "gazzumped" them after they had set it up . I have seen flyers for it and it costs 2:50€ whereas the PP Ruta is only 1:50€ ;).

Is that right Sparky, ports much better value then, seen the FB posts about it, I think there is a lot of politics involved which I am steering clear of ;-)

Hi, another Michelle here, coming back to PP for the 2nd time, loved it last year and can't wait to come back. Was a bit worried about posts regarding places being demolished on the pine walk however have been reassured all is ok. This is such an informative site, keep up the good work!

Hi and welcome to the forum, thank you for your kind comments, our members are a very knowledgable and friendly bunch ;).

Belated introduction

Hello everyone

Not totally new to the forum but only just noticed the introductions thread.:o

After too many years absence we are returning to PP this summer and are all really looking forward to it, family of 4 with boy and girl, 17 and 11.

We have spent the last few summers in Switzerland (hence user name) and the though the weather can be beautiful the last couple of years have been very wet so we decided to return to where we had several very enjoyable holidays when the kids were younger. Thanks to the help and advice of members on this great forum we have already got some tips that will really help us get the most out of our holiday. So as an introduction and a tip to brand new users, don't be scared, ask away, there's no such thing as a silly question someone here will be able to help :).

cheers
Mark + Family.

Hi, Rob here. I love this forum, so much information. I've been coming to Puerto on an off since 1980 I guess, when I was a boy. I'll be over later in June with my parents and my two children which will be probably my 10th visit (last visit was in 2010). I guess its become a family tradition, haha.:) I always said that if we won the Lottery we would buy a place there, absolutely love it! Had a look at a few pictures and read a few threads and glad to see its still retaining its charm despite what sounds like tough economic times these days for Spain.
Anyway, we are counting the days; that first beer in the square is going to be sooo good.:D

Hi and welcome Rob, hope you enjoy your first beer! it always tastes so good ;)

Hi

Hi everyone
I have been coming to the port for over 30 years and was lucky enough to buy a property several years ago. I stumbled across the forum and wished I had found it earlier it's a mine of useful information; well done to everyone involved.
Although the port has changed over the years it has managed to keep it's integrity and charm I always feel so much better when I am there and it seems to have a very good energy!
We are all so lucky to have found a piece of paradise to enjoy:)
Regards to all

Hi & welcome Rob & Pollensabay, good to have you on board!

Hi and welcome Pollensabay :)

Hello to all,
My Wife and I returned to P.P. last May after a 12 year break (Cruising), and we fell in love with it all over again. We came again last September, and again this May, and we are now planning another visit for September. We have seen many places but this place is definately the best. WishI could comeand live there too!!
