Where to eat

We have had good food there too - very traditional Mallorquin - it seemed to be popular with local 'ladies who lunch', which is usually a good sign!

Had excellent Lomo con Col in June:D

Would it not be too cold too eat outside at La Victoria on an October evening?

We ate there during the third week of October in 2012. We booked for 7pm so it would still be light. Have to say we were nearly the only people there, no atmosphere at all, surly waiter & roast suckling pig absolutely revolting!!! The view was fantastic though!!!

If the type of evening you would like is a romantic dinner a deux in nice surroundings, with very good food of course my suggestions would be Los Zarzales (inside) O Lume (in the garden) or Restaurante Siiller. I am sure any one of them would not disappoint particularly if you tell them that it is a special celebration.

I hope you have a wonderful evening wherever you choose.

It should be plenty warm enough. We will probably be there at that time. Go early though to catch the sunset.

We have had good food there this year, but the service can be a bit slow at times, The food has improved a lot this year

..And sunset ranges from about 7.30 pm at beginning of October to about 5.45 at the end of the month I believe.

Someone posted here a while back that the owners used to own a restaurant in Pollensa which had a Michelin star. I can't confirm if that is true, but I've eaten in restaurants with Michelin stars and it certainly wouldn't surprise me.

The restaurant in Pollensa was called Daus, located in the cellar of a building just off the Calvari steps. My wife and I ate there a few times in the 1980s and I remember Manolo and his moustache (not grey in those days). A very good place to eat but I didn't know it had a Michelin star. Mind you we were young then and wouldn't have known a Michelin star from a Michelin tyre.
