Another option, especially if you travel abroad more than once, is to purchase a mobile wifi unit with appropriate data sim. You can get ones specifically for Europe, the US and other countries and top-up on-line. We've bought one recently for our son to use in India and the United States. Have a look at Europe Data Sim Cards from 0044

Dear Friends,

We are taking a break after a long season, and we are sorry if yoy have tried to contact with us without success.

During the winter we have limited service, as we do not have an airport office, but we will try to help you if you contact with us by mail, telling us when you will be here.

Thanks as always

Just picked up an email to me personally from Javier and I'm awaiting a reply. Very good service, I am impressed.
Hopefully I can get something sorted.

Also had a quick response from Multi-Hire. They are away from the 5th January to the 13th January but are open. If not in the shop they say to ring them and they can be met there.

Hopefully the above two companies don't mind me publishing this. I will post any further useful updates.

I too have had an email from Javier today.. I have always been very impressed with the service and also hope that something can be arranged

I used these guys last year and they were excellent.

Their website seems not to be working any time I try and access it to book wifi for this May.

Are these guys still operating?

I think there are some business changes taking place and hopefully Javier will post soon with what's happening. I've been waiting to hear too!

Tried emailing them and got the same as last time, I.e. can't enter date etc. Has anyone heard anything from them atall?

Very annoying it's happened a second time. Shame as such a useful gadget and previous good service.

As Pollensa has already said, there is another company you could try, here Internet Cafes, Cybercafes, Wifi, Computers - Puerto Pollensa (Port de Pollenca), Majorca (Mallorca) ;).

Aware of what Pollensa has said. That company want €66, considerably more than wifi2go, and I've not used them before so a bit unsure. The unit can be collected from No Frills Travel. Are they even open?

Had anyone else used them?

P.S. - I have emailed wifi2go so will keep everyone posted if I hear anything.

Hi npn - I would investigate getting your own mi-fi. for £50 on ebay you get a portable modem and then add a spanish data SIM. there is a thread about it. trust me - if I can do it you can:)

I also purchased one ..and it worked 😀😀 next test is to top up when I am back in April 😱

Thanks GG and Cath. I would prefer to buy one I must admit, much easier. I'd only want to leave it in the apartment anyway, I wouldn't be taking it about.

1. What models have you both got and where did you get them from?

2. Where do you get the top ups or SIM cards from in PP?

Thanks.

Just read the link Sparky posted and think it answers my questions actually. Will have to be brave and give it a try!!

Hi, I am not sure if I am too late with this reply. I also had the same problem of not being able to book wifi2go online. I finally heard from them and they said they were still deciding if they would operate out of the airport this year. I have booked the device through Multi-Hire and will be picking it up in 2 weeks time (I hope!).

Jilly
