Wine Fair 2012

Well worth the wait... Went on Sunday and spent a good 2 hours in the sun sampling some of the local wine. Not a lot to my taste as most of them as very young wineries but some of the older wines were great, although pricey. Noticed a lot of the local restauraunt owners there buying in bulk, heard on the quite that if buy 6 cases there you only pay for 5!!! Managed to get 3 of the 4 complimentary glasses home in one bit!!!

We also had a fantastic time at the Wine Fair and did our best to try as many as possible! Absolutely hooked on the Mortix rosado Then we staggered to the square for a drink where there was a wonderful display of Mallorquin folk dancing. All ages from 8 to 80 and they didn't seem to mind when in our high spirits we joined in (caught on video by my daughter!!) Then off to Trencadora for some delicious pasta to soak up all the wine before getting a taxi back to the Port (going via the apartment to drop off our bottles and glasses, amazingly all in one piece) before ending the day/night in Nostalgia til 4 am.

Debz, I pity the folks sat near you on the plane home. The alcohol fumes must've been eye watering!
