The date for next years wine fair is given as 21/22nd April. There is an error on this years booklet which gives the year as 2017, but I have confirmed with the organisers.

Thanks lollipop, thats great, hoping to be there for it next year

Hi Lollipop,
That's great, is it absolutely certain those are the dates? I was looking for them at this year's Fair but couldn't find them!
Cheers!

I've not been to the wine fair before. Can someone tell me what it is like please?

It is on the back of the little booklet, a bit confusing as says 2017 but I asked and they said it was a printer error and should say 2018.

There are some 39 bodegas from all over the island with wines for tasting and buying if you so wish. Runs over the weekend . Admission this year was 10 euro and you get a 3 euro coupon to use against any purchases.

It's a great event if you're interested in tasting different kinds of wine, but it's not a p**s-up!
Much more civilised than that, the free tasting measures are quite small, so you'd need to be very determined if you wanted to get plastered! Although I am sure there are those who manage it!

Looking forward to the Wine Fair on 21/22 April - anybody have any up to date information about it?
I see the entrance price is now 12 euros, including a 5 euro voucher, but are there any new exhibitors listed, has the overall number gone up or down from 2017, any other changes?
I always hope they don't change it in the name of progress..................

Were is this held & between what times. Also can you pay on entry or were do you get tickets from.

It is held in the cloisters.

The schedules and operation will be the usual: opening Saturday at 10 am and closing at 20.30 pm. Sunday from 10 to 14 H.

Tickets can be bought in the church next to the cloisters the price of entry this year will be 12 € of which 4 € will be credit to buy wine at the same fair. The Bag will include cup, libretto with information from the participants and pen.

This year there will be 39 wineries, like last year. There are two new ones: Viceroy of Cala Pi and Can Xanet of Pollença.

How was it?

How was the Wine Festival at the weekend?

:)What are the dates for 2019 as we are thinking of going for the first time just for the Wine Festival?

Wine Fair 2019

The Wine Fair this year was just as good as ever - following the good old Spanish practice of ‘if it ain’t broke don’t fix it’!

I spoke to one of the organisers about next year, and he said that the date hasn’t yet been fixed, but that it’s a good bet to assume that it will be 2 weeks after Easter next year - it was longer than that this year because Easter was so early.

He also said to keep an eye on the viprimitiu.org website, where the date will be announced.

Thanks for the update. We will watch viprimitiu.org website and expect 2019 will be late April/early May as Easter is 19-22 April next year. :)

Certainly the back page of the booklet indicated May, but with no definite date.
