Can anyone advise me as to what to do about the water bill when selling a house? How do I get it changed over to the new owner?

Oscar sorts it out. In the end you'll probably end up giving the new owner a few quid to cover your share of the next bill. I walked out of the Notary office with about €100 cash?

The agents get about 4% dont they? Oscar took about a tenth of that and he does all the serious paperwork, incl getting his PA to sort out all my utility bills...

I understand that EMSER offices are located in the Pollensa town hall.

I presume that all you would need to do is go along with your escritura or proof of purchase such as the property register document and your bank account details, and they will do it for you.

Yes Julian is right, the office is at the low end of the town hall,opposite the Gallino bar.The staff are helpful,understand english just take usual id and paperwork etc.
