We have just returned from our 1st trip to PP and loved it.

On recommendation we went to the aquarium. It was fabulous. It is a must in my opinion, the shark area (called big blue) is amazing.

Food is reasonable priced and a great selection.

...and the staff are very friendly. One man took time out from cleaning the aquarium to speak to my 6-year-old daughter about the sharks. Evidently they display a tendency to eat the other occupants of the aquarium, just for the odd between-meal snack. There's also areas where kids can pick up some of the marine life and study them.

The only drawback for me was that I couldn't find my way out of the place, and kept walking through the same cafeteria time after time

Agree with all the above about Palma aquarium...a great way to spend the day and if you have children they will love it.

We went for the first time last November and were very lucky to have the place virtually to ourselves. Ruthie we also loved the the 'Big Blue'..we lay on the squashy bean bags for over an hour watching the sharks and listening to the relaxing and hypnotic music. We actually saw one of the sharks going for a small ray but luckily it managed to escape its jaws Quite terrifying to be up that close and to be able to stare right into their rather souless eyes!

Apparently they do childrens birthday sleepover parties in this area...what a fabulous idea and certainly beats going to Mc Donalds

We have been there 3 times so far within about 12 months! We saw the childrens Christmas party there too with the Three Kings, looked so much fun. The shop is great too with the fantastic but expensive glass paperweights with the wonderful jellyfish inside them. The aquarium is still evolving and getting more interesting each time. So far we have 3 different caps that have been given as gifts! Still cant wait to show yet more of the family this wonderful place in June, although just a little worried that it may be very crowded in high season as they now have so much advertising as the best aquaraium in Europe! It is, but dont tell everyone!!

We intended to go last week when we were over but the weather was too good to drag us from the beach.

Ww will definately do this trip in October as my 6 year old is dolphin & sharks daft. She will love it I am sure.

What was the entrance fees for adults & kids or do they do a family pass?

E19.50 adults, 4-12's E15 under 3's free. Im not sure if they still do it, but if you pick up a little advertising card for them at the info kiosk at the airport, they will exchange it for a cap at the aquarium!! But that was last year, so dont promise the kids anything before hand!
