what a bunch of snobs....our teenagers had a great time on it today...cant see how it spoils a view considering the number of banana boats, etc buzzing round this afternoon...im probably not allowed to comment, as weve only been coming here for 12 years, and have not «bought» here, but fwiw we think it a great asset, and wish the operators well...go wibit! :-)

SMG, you are of course entitled to your opinion but so are all other members whether they are property owners or not.
What is not acceptable on this forum is to be abusive in your posts and i think this name calling is totally uncalled for, please show some respect for others viewpoints .

Just returned from a leisurely walk to view said "waterpark" Well.....it's really nothing to get worried about. It's not the beginning of the end or the end of the beginning! Providing you can swim out & back can't see it would be any problem. Young children have their play areas, this is for older children/teens & adults. Set in a part of the sea which is festooned with brightly coloured pedalaloes, it looks great fun. That part of the beach has volleyball, huge flags advertising the many activities plus the banana boat etc and people including locals just enjoying themselves. No-one is going to think...Gosh, must go to PP for the water park...!!! Please don't worry everybody!

Oh dear smg, how disappointing. How does owning a property abroad make someone a snob for goodness sake? We are "owners" and work damned hard to afford our modest little apartment. We've also been visiting PP for less time than you!

I'm sure other people "waste" money on what I might consider unnecessary things but that's none of my business.

Anyway, that's that off my chest!

Going by the picture.....I was surprised of its size, thought by the comments it was going to be ginormous but don't think it looks as bad as what I had visualised. Son thought it looked an eyesore!! Thought that would have been MY thoughts. He did say though that he would probably enjoy it....and I suppose that is what it's all about.
I maybe think differently when I see it for real next month.....though I know my teenage niece and nephew will love it and so handy from their villa.....is it expensive?

Embat beach bar have posted a pic on FB Bd you can clearly see it from their terrace, that will spoil the view when we are sitting there enjoying our mojitos after a hard day on the beach!!!

I guess it's a matter of opinion - some kids and teens feel the need to have manufactured entertainment laid on for them whilst on holiday whilst others are happy to swim, snorkel, fish, beachcomb, walk etc

Some kids appreciate both, thank goodness for diversity :)

That was my issue Sws. Not what the actual whatever it's called looks like, but the fact that the view of the bay really is compromised. I'm not a killjoy and I'm sure older kids will enjoy it (glad I'm not there in July and August ;)) but I still don't think it looks safe. Only time will tell:eek: A good friend made the comment that would everyone be quite so happy if it was in the sea somewhere along Pine Walk?!

 Be a first for me....late May/early June is my usual time for visiting.....the things one has to do when Grandchildren are at school! Our little one hasn't been to PP for three years so thought it was time she returned, last week in August....then I with a second week first in September.....shouldn't be so bad!:)

....is it expensive?

Just seen it is 8 euros......but how long for I wonder!

The price looks like 10 euros per hour with no reduction for smaller ages, looks like the kids are having fun!!

SWS, if you go back to the very first post on this thread it says the maximum price would be no more than 8€, i believe this is per hour and small children are not allowed.

Just seen this information on Facebook too. Photo looks different when taken from the sea inwards - huge! But you're right, the kids look happy, don't know about the parents wallets though!!

You are right, the picture doesn't look right does it, what we need is someone to go down and try it out for us and find out!

That photo is not PP. But the lilo thing in PP is exactly the same as in the photo......huge

We are out in a couple of weeks and will report back as my 12 year old is excited to try it out. It's not something we'll be using every day by any stretch but she's keen to have a go and have fun with her friends on holiday. Normally more than happy to fish, beachcomb and relax but is getting older so keen to try some more adventurous things too.

If you google witbit waterparks there is all shape and sizes....think the one in the picture is sport pack 60 and the one in PP is sport pack 40, maybe! If it is successful they could possibly add to it!:)

I have to say this is certainly no where near as bad as I thought when viewed from La Gola area. I saw an add yesterday on FB that said 10 euro per hour.
