I hope this prevents someone suffering as my son has done.
We recently visited Puerto Pollensa (fab holiday, can't wait to go back!) and my son (15) had a black henna tattoo done.
Since we returned, the site of the tattoo has become itchy, sore and inflammed.
I have since learned that there is a substance in the black henna - a dye which is not henna at all, and which is banned in some countries.
It causes serious allergic reactions to up to 1 in 20 people.

Please do NOT have this type of tattoo done - It is UNSAFE
This is specific to BLACK HENNA - regular henna is safe.
please can a moderator post this warning anywhere else that is frequented by users to as many people as possible read this warning. Thank you
