Bonanca pool

My wife and I have owned one of the Bonanca apartments for many years (not the one you rented!) so can confirm that the pool is not the property of the flats. However, the owners and proprietors of Laguna make it very clear that we and any guests staying at our apartment are welcome to use the pool and sunbathing area at all times that they are open. Indeed, during the season when the Laguna bar is open the door next to the lift is open so that people staying in the apartments have direct access to the pool area. All the proprietors ask is that those using the pool area buy the odd drink or ice cream for the kids.

Any guest staying our apartment is advised of this situation prior to booking and I wouldn't even dream of renting my place stating that facilities would be available, whilst knowing that they wouldn't be.

In addition, Nobody stays in our apartment before I've visited it personally at the start of each season, to carry out any necessary maintenance and make sure everything is as well prepared as possible.

Perhaps it was not your intention, but your last paragraph suggests that the advertised facilities for guests staying at the Bonanca apartments "do not exist". With respect, the facilities DO exist, but unfortunately weren't available at the time of your stay.

If the ad. stated that these facilities would be available at the time of your visit, then obviously you should have been advised in advance if they were not. Your penultimate paragraph indicates that perhaps you booked the accommodation through an agency rather than directly with the owners - was this the case?

Not my intention, as you say, but the opportunity to access the prescribed services was not available, therefore the opportunity to use did not exist while I was there.

As the respective persons will not have received my complaint yet, I feel it only fair that their identity and status, be protected until such time as they have had an opportunity to respond.

We have just returned from an apartment in Bonanca. Our owner indicated that the pool existed for our use along with other apartments. They did not make it clear that the pool is entirely separate from the apartments and that it is open to anyone who uses the Laguna Bar. Whether you buy the odd drink or not you cannot consume your own food and drink around the pool.
I am currently in a dispute with the owner who didn't make the whole pool matter clear and certainly led you to believe it was for the sole use of the apartments and with no restrictions. There are and I would suggest anyone concerned should thoroughly check what they are entering so they do not get there and find its different to what they are expecting. By the way Laguna Bar is nice and loungers are good - Remember though they are owned by the Laguna and not the apartments.
