Car Hire - So Expensive

Hello everyone, I'm trying to find a reasonably priced car to hire first 2 weeks in August. We paid 250 GBP for the same time last year through Holiday Autos but so far the cheapest I have found for this year (same time of year) is 450 GBP! I can't believe the price has jumped up so much. Does anyone know of any car companies that can offer a small car (i.e. clio, fiesta) for under, say 350.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Have a look at Doyouspain.com just had a quick look and they are quoting about £370 for Renault Clio, from 1 - 14 August. Also Carjet are usually good with the prices. Have you tried booking direct with any of the companies ?? Not sure what the prices are like now as we booked all our car hire last Nov . Try Record, Centauro and Goldcar cant think of any others off hand.

have you tired Motos Formentor FORMENTOR RENT A CAR IN PUERTO POLLENSA, MALLORCA - i understand they can be quite reasonable.

I'm afraid I will never use Motos Formentor after a breakdown on the way down to Formentor. We had to walk back to port and they would not give us a replacement, took 2 days to fix and no refund

we have never used their car hire so cannot comment...I just remember the price list outside seemed reasonable

Have you tried Park and Fly who are based on the airport site next to the petrol station. We have used their parking facility which was very efficient and they have a hire facility too.

What did you think of Argos ?

They have a really good price for when we come over in October but I have never heard of them so would love to get your opinion

if you are an AA member, go on their website and click on special offersfor AA members - Hertz car hire gives you about 10% discount and we also got an additional driver free. they're not as dear as you would think.
