CSV is getting shabby.

must say csv is looking a bit shabby. lots of new apts. unoccupied, and with the simar closed looks a bit sad. however, still our favourite place and tomas is still at the marinas bar!!!!!

We thought that too bee. Had a wander around last Monday, and it looked as if they were all closing up, except the lovely little rustic cafe up the steps, which maybe what you are refering to, but I didnt check the name. It suddenly seemed as if the end of the season had happened and everyone wanted to spring clean and close up!

I have noticed that CSV do seem to shut for winter sooner than other places. Such a shame really as CSV is a lovely place but somehow seems to be left behind! Needs a good development plan I think!

I think CSV has always had a shorter season than PP and Alcudia but had thought that with new developments springing up, it might stay open a bit longer.

Yes it is a shame Sparky - somehow CSV seems to be left behind but I'm really not sure why! The views are so wonderful too.

Perhaps residents/visitors like the fact that it's not busy ???

Perhaps but during the autumn winter season the place is deserted! The problem of course is that tourism brings income and if shut then there is no income. Personally it isn't a place for me to be out of of season as there is a feel of 'the bombs gone off but no-one told us!'
Pollensa on the other hand, has a life after season all be it limited.

As someone who lives here Eleanor, I would say that life in PP out of season is definitely not limited. There is always plenty to do/places to go/restaurants to eat at etc. (And the community seems to knit a bit tighter too).

I agree with Barefoot, there are no limits on what we get up to out of season. Although i draw the line at the "knitting" ........can't stand the clickety clack of the needles .

we come here because it is quiet. that´s the charm, but with the simar and the mini golf shut it seems a bit rundown. perhaps its because no-one seems to trim the bushes and hedges on the closed properties. back to the uk tomorrow. boo-hoo!!!!!

Yes Barefoot I agree with you and am aware of that from the point of view of someone who lives in the Port. They having access to and experience of the knowledge of what goes on out of season. I was thinking more along the lines of tourism and perhaps someone visiting for the first time or the first time out of season. They may find it somewhat limited.

we're already thinking of a return trip next year. perhaps I ought to pack the hedge trimmers! could I get them through security???????????
