As of today El Posito will now be open in the evenings as well as lunchtime, so that's tonight's dinner sorted then ;).

Ok, here is my review :-

We had a couple of vinos at the bar while we decided what to have to eat. To start we had the bread, olives and allioli with a plate of garlic prawns and baby squid. Mains were roast suckling pig served with sliced potatoes and a medley of vegetables all absolutely delicious, well presented and plenty of it.

Toni has a new white wine on the menu, it's comes from Codorniu who produce cava but have now also branched into wine making. It is called Vinas de Anna blanc de blancs, we decided to give it a try and it was really good, a blend of Chardonnay with a touch of Moscat, though at 13% one bottle was definitely enough .

El Posito charge 15.50€ and here is a picture of it.

Thanks for the review Lyn :) Any changes to the menu this year or just the usual supplemented by the specials board ?

Sounds gorgeous, Sparky - and will look forward to trying that wine! Only two more sleeps....

No changes or specials yet Doogz, it's a bit early and i suppose Toni will want to keep it simple until the season officially starts next month but having said that the "Quincena de Bacalao" will be running from 15th-30th April so lots of options for cod cooked in different ways ;).

I think we are going to have to give El Posito another go when we are out.

Just hope he slows the pace a bit:)

Can't fault the food, so I will take your advice and slow him down a bit

Cheers Snows

Had a nice meal in here last night.

Cod for me, lamb chops for the wee man. Fantastic food and service. Saw sparky and Colin but as they were too ingrossed in each other I left them to it without saying hello. 😉

Good to see the place quite busy tonight and an added bonus for me to meet up with Kate1.
Thanks Kate for making yourself and your family known to me and i am so pleased that you all enjoyed your meal :D.

Lovely to meet you last night, Sparky - and Mr Sparky, of course - yes, we had a fantastic meal. I love El Posito! - perfect combination of great food and lovely relaxed atmosphere. And it's the only place my carnivorous daughter will eat vegetables (the timber is the best anywhere). Btw she tells me I was staggering as I left - thanks no doubt to the two massive Suau brandies served up to me - I'm not usually that disreputable, honest!

Kate, Why is their furniture better than other restaurants ? Me thinks you might still be suffering from the brandies:D

Ha! - no, I'm 100% sober now - blame predictive text! (I did of course mean tumbet)
