Hi bought an apartment and car in Pollensa recently, does anyone have any recommendations for options to leave the car at airport a few times a year- for 6wks + . I understand there are a few companies that offer annual contracts and open to this if anyone can recommend any. Also wondering how you deal with the battery going flat whilst parked up at airport? Any suggestions?
Many thanks

There are firms who will keep your car off site and run a shuttle to their premises. The nearest is Park & Fly, but I don’t think they have a great reputation. Having a firm looking after your car deals with the battery issue as they’ll take care of that. We have an annual contract in the general parking at the airport and can park an unlimited number of times on levels 5, 6 and 7. The battery issue depends on the type of car, some are hopeless after a few weeks. In Covid times our Skoda sat in the car park for 8 months and fired up instantly…..to my amazement! I really like the convenience of walking off the plane straight to the car under cover……but it’s quite pricey.

Hi thanks - it’s a brand new Seat so might be ok? How much is pricey- as you say the convenience sounds tempting

The annual cost is €2,400pa, which sounds a lot, but all the family use the car and we’re out for around 20 weeks of the year in total, so running our own car and parking at the airport compares very favourably with car hire, and no queues or hassle over dints! By the way, I have a battery booster in the car which I keep charged up. I’ve never needed it, but it’s a reassuring thing to have. Don’t forget to buy one of the new flashing hazard lights that become compulsory to carry from 1/1/26.

@Jo.G Hi Jo and welcome to the forum :)
Hope you find a solution about parking at the airport and any battery issues that might arise.

I’ll make sure my husband is sitting down before I tell him how much 🤣 but if I’m travelling alone I think the convenience is worth considering. Great idea for the jump starter will look into that 👍 thanks for all your help

You’re very welcome. I hope it all works out for you.

I leave my car with https://storageandfly.com/en/ This year, parked indoors cost €995 for the year. Next year is €1200.

My car is 10 years old. Its in decent condition but I've never heard of any issues with it. I bet they have a jump pack.

When you want to drop the car off, you msg them 48 hrs in advance and tell them when you're coming and they meet you at the front door or the airport in the disabled bay/EV charger bays. They're always there on time (give or take).

When you come back, you tell them 48 hrs in advance and they txt you through the day to check up on you. First about 6 hours prior, then roughly when you land and I text back just as I'm thru passports (the guy set off from their warehouse) and then when you pop out of the front door (you get the lift back to Arrivals) they'll be there and they radio the driver to bring it up to the door. Its soooooo slick. You walk out of the door, flash your passport, sign a receipt, jump in and leave. The barrier automatically rises, nothing to pay and you're in Pollenca in under an hour from landing.

You can ask them to give it a clean for €15 and they'll take it for ITV (MOT) for €150 (ouch, but I dont speak good enough technical Spanish to attempt the MOT here which is a much more involved process)

I'm not out there enough to warrant owning a car, but that 2400 euros is 14 return trips to the airport in a private taxi. So leaving the car parked at your place in the Port may be a decent option? No concerns about the car starting either.

edit: just read Bobleys post which sounds reasonable.
