Luggage storage at Palma airport

Good afternoon everyone.

I was wondering if anybody knows if there is the facility to store luggage for a few hours at Palma airport.

We are holidaying in PP in the summer - we have to be out of our villa by 10am, but our flight home isn't until the evening. We thought a day out in Palma would be good, but don't want to park the hire car with all the suitcases in all day. So the thought was that we could return the car to the airport, put the luggage in storage for the day, and get the bus in to Palma.

I have had a dig around on the AENA website, but can't find anything on there.

Any ideas?

As far as i know there is nowhere actually in the airport...obviously due to security issues but there was a place at the bus/train station, i think it's still going, just Google search "Palma Lock and Go" .

We had the same problem in October.

Worked out well in the end as only two of us and the suitcases fitted in the boot of the car.

I put all important valuable stuff in my small rucksack and carried that all day.

We decided to stay locally as it felt safer to park the car in places we knew well.

Spent the morning in Alcudia old town, long lunch at Trencadora in pollensa old town, a long walk along pine walk in the afternoon, then we changed into travelling home clothes down a quiet little side street along the sandy beach area, much to the amusement of people that where watching us from a balcony that I had not spotted when I parked the car

Arrived at the airport just in time after a leisurely drive and all went well.

This was one of the most enjoyable days of our holiday as we where not rushing around trying to do too much but just passing the time of day until check in time.

I now look for late flights back just to get some more leisure time and last minute shopping

What about considering Multi-Hire in PP, you need to book in advance for storage and showers.

Thank you for all the replies. Looks like we'll probably go with the Palma Lock and Go at the railway station.

Well spotted, Sparky. Looks good. Would Lock and Go accept Mrs Clinkham?.
I want to see the ships in the harbour, but that would mean leaving Mrs Clinkham free to roam the shoe shops with her plastic.

Parking my be difficult there or will you drop the car off first at the airport and then catch the bus around to the train station?

I think you would have to drop the car off first and then get the bus to the station. It seems to be very convenient having Lock and Go actually in the station .

Lol!! Clinkham, though i can't take credit for finding Lock and Go, it was actually suggested on a forum thread dating way back in 2008 .

The buses are every 15 minutes or so each way and take around 20 mins!

Shame you can't leave the car in PP for the company to pick up, I know this facility is available with some hire company's. You could then take the bus to Palma from PP and you would be at the bus station, where you could leave your luggage, without the need to bus backwards and forwards from the airport.
