I remember Maureen at Citrus telling us last October that the owner of Miguelon was saying that trade was very poor and that some lunctimes they had no customers at all. And every time we walked past in the evenings, there were very few people in. I wonder sometimes if its down to the increasing All Inclusive deals offered by the hotels. A friend of mine went to PP for the first time last year and I had told her about a few good restaurants but in the end they just ate at the hotel every night

I agree entirely. Particularly when AI food is total rubbish and what's left gets reused again and again. Then the second week the menu repeats itself! Big shame.

I suppose in these hard times though it's what some people want. Just a shame it has to be in PP to the detriment of the restaurants.

Really sad to hear things didn't work out for Miguel at Miguelon. We were at his opening night and many a great evening there with him since. I understood Juan was retiring - but I'll be pleased to be corrected.

One thing i never understand with AI when you factor in how much you are getting charged for the total holiday you have been charged for the food etc and it works out about the same to eat in a different place each night and sample the local food etc. Cant understand why you would visit a place and the only place you see is the hotel!!!! each to their own i suppose and whilst i have choice we just wont do AI.

Rafa, (Batucada), Miguel (Miguelon) and Juan (La Roca) are brothers, who for many years ran the Bonanca Bar, (now Laguna).

I'm assuming that Fran64 is Miguel's twin brother - so I think if that's so then we can take his word that rumours of them getting together again for another venture are just rumours.
