Gina,

We remember the Black Bull, was it Keith Pather that owned it before he had the shop beside what was the Chequered Flag (Now the White Rose/Rosa Blanca) in the original Gommar Apartments?

PP76

Hi PP76

The owners of the Bull's Head were Eric & Edna Panther and later their sons Peter, Mike & Pip took over the running at various times in their lives.

Keith Panther & wife Eileen did indeed have the shop in Gommar next to the Chequered Flag. They are now in Pollensa and their son David runs the very successful shop in the square by the Italian restaurant (forget the name) where he specializes in TV equipment/installations etc.,

How time flies!

Miss America Pie - again!

After our group meal at Stay, there was a select group - ok 4 - of us who thought it would be a very good idea to try out the Mojitos as Nostalgia. With debz and I giggling away at I really don't know what, we found the bright lights and singing of this now well established bar.
There was no room inside as it was all taken up with dancers and singers happily bouncing all over the place, so we gently eased ourselves into a table outside and sent the other halves in for "the best Mojitos in the port"!
Wow!! Definately the strongest I have tasted and no mistake!
After finishing one rather quickly, debz disappeared inside to request the one and only song known by all. It had actually already been requested and came on pretty soon afterwards.
One and half mojitos down; the red shirted rugby team also singing along, we rekindled the good old days of Miss America Pie. I think it was the LP version as it seemed to go on for ever and ever, we may have been making up our own words at some point too! Or perhaps the song had actually finished?!

A couple more mojitos were drunk by some of our party - no names mentioned - and we were singing along to yet something else when Sparky and hubby wandered out catching us in full vocal with our hands in the air!
We just could not believe how the time had disappeared!
It showed 3am by the time I collapsed in bed - and 11.30 when I managed to open my eyes again to find the sunglasses! Terrific night, but Sunday was a struggle - more on that later!

11.30... early birds!! I don't think we got up till 2.30 after a few staggers to the kitchen to make cups of tea and swallow neurofen with litres of water  We never did recover all day :(

Malc had 3 Mojito's and he's sworn never again...yeah right! ;)

Thats the trouble with old ens you can't take it leave it to us youngster like me and BL.

Ohhh - I feel your pain! - Been there so many times lol

Sounds like you all had a great time. Where would we be without neurofen!

Ach! Mojito's are for women and Bonyslad:D In 20 years visiting the port i've never incurred a hangover, UNTIL, i tried one of Jaimes (O'lume) TNT (dynamite) cocktails. Now that's what you call a hangover;)

Look forward to that! I'll forgo the cocktail and just have a deep-fried mars bar washed down with a bottle of Buckfast!

Enjoy yourself tonight, i'll be thinking about you, i've just received the credit-card bill, and it's beans-on-toast for me.

I called into Nostalgia this afternoon and Michaela has asked me to let you all know they will be closing the first two weeks in November for some maintenance work in the bar. They are not sure yet what their winter hours will be but they will be open and i will let you know as soon as they decide. :D

Are there no bounds to your roams in the name of research Sparky?;)

LOL!! GG, i was brought up with the belief that if a job is worth doing it is worth doing well.
That's my excuse and i am sticking to it ;);).

We visited nostalgia for the 1st time last week & I have to say what a good crack we had, Colin & his wife are extremely freindly & deserve to do well.An excellent addition to the Port.
I can also confirm the mojitos are wicked.
