Oro Playa Apartments

I have just read that the Oro Playa will be 4 star adult only complex from 2016.

Googling has shown me that Oro Playa becomes Mar Senses adult-only apartments in 2016, same group as Playa Mar.

The Mar Hotels website is allowing bookings for Mar Senses from 29 April 2016. It shows a lot of impressive images of the new setup, but mostly labelled "sample".

By now (what seems to be) the very major refub must be well on track. Any signs of good progress, anyone ?

Just returned from a gloriously sunny week in Puerto Pollensa. Happy to confirm that lots of work was being carried out at the Oro Playa Hotel.

We are hoping that with such a great location, the hotel will have a much longer season in the future too....Fingers crossed that they carry out a good renovation there.

While it is good to hear it's (finally) being refurbished, it's also quite sad it's going the adults only route - have lots of very happy memories of being there with our children and always found the place had a very "family friendly" atmosphere. Haven't stayed in it for a number of years, but had friends staying in it last year, while we were nearby and it was always a nice friendly place to call into, if a little run down. It'll be interesting to see what it looks like when finished, the local shops will miss the family custom for sure though.

Noticed today that major construction work is being carried out at the Oro Playa Hotel with a big crane on site, and a huge empty pit where the entrance of the hotel previously stood!

Yes, noticed that late December into January. They've virtually ripped the place apart and as you say there's a crater in the ground. It is one massive refurb!
