I think at one time several of the companies used the same local bus company - can't remember the name now - so it may not make a difference using someone other than Hoppa. Apart from the long delays mentioned above, last year they were picking passengers up for the return journey ridiculously early. I agree, if your budget can stretch to it, a taxi is the best way

Just found it - Viajes Urbis - so I wonder if Palma Coaches are the same company but have changed their name?

We travelled in early May and used Resorthoppa, who we have used before and have usually been OK, although once we had a long wait at the airport. The journey out was fine although we went via Alcudia. However on our journey back we were picked up at 4:30 for a 10:30 flight !

We were first on the bus and spent the next two hours picking up people from PP and Alcudia. We went from PP to Alcudia and back twice due to the random way that the pick up list had been drawn up.

The driver was very good, he was as baffled as us by this. We finally hit the road for the airport about 6:40 and still arrived before our check in was open ! It is bizarre because it must be costing Palma Coach a fortune in driver time and underutilised buses. Next time I will look into the alternatives on this forum.

This is totally bonkers! Last year our kids used Hoppa and they were picked up four hours early which was bad enough but SIX hours??? What on earth are Hoppa thinking of, how can this be acceptable?

Hoppa must be loosing so many loyal customers by the way they are operating their services in this area. You cannot run a business in this way and they surely will suffer the consequences. It will probably take a season for them to realise this though, hopefully better luck next year.

Enough is enough...I've just cancelled the transfer I'd booked with A2b Transfers through Travel Republic because they also use Palma Coaches now. When I rang Travel Republic they said A2b Transfers is actually owned by Hoppa. I said I still wanted to cancel it because of reports that the service had deteriorated. They refunded my money with no issues. I've now booked a private transfer with Balearic Transfers.com. Cost was 117 euros return for 3 of us, which I thought was pretty good. That was using a 10% off code I found on their website.
I will report back early June to let you know how it went

We used Hopper in April and had a slight niggle as we paid for a max of 4 stops and on our return to the airport had a total of 8
We wrote an email got a standard reply and after a few days had an apology and received a refund for the extra paid for 4 stops.

We will be using them again but will check on arrival at Palma we are on the max 4 stop list on the outward and return to the airport.

Theres always the bus, that doesn't take 2 hours or more!!

Done the No.1 into palma from airport numerous times - great service, but would be difficult with young ones or too much luggage. The Palma/PP service is excellent - used it many times too.
pity about RHopper - whenever I've used them they've been good. Will keep an eye on members experiences during the summer....

Highly recommend Balearic Transfers.com

As promised, I'm reporting back on our experience last week using Balearic Transfers.com:
Booking via their website was easy. There was a lovely lady driver waiting for us in Arrivals. She helped with the luggage and even gave us a bottle of chilled water. The journey took 45 minutes. She picked us up from our apartment for the return journey at exactly the time quoted, which was at a sensible time (not 2 hours too early)! Highly recommend to anyone who is thinking of switching from Hoppa this year.

We also used Balearic Transfers.com this year and took advantage of their special offer (return journey costing approx 117 euros). Driver was waiting for us at the airport and again at the quoted pick up time from our apartment. Very efficient and we will definitely be using them again.
