Pick pockets

I have just reported how great the service was at Palma airport and we had an enjoyable stay at Puerto Pollensa, however the downside was that I had my mobile stolen. Apparently pick pocketers and opportunity theft is not uncommon so beware.
On the plus side when I reported the theft to the Police they were extremely helpful and courteous

I've been robbed a couple of times over the years in PP and the old town and, as you say, the police were very helpful. But it does put a downer on things doesn’t it, apart from the inconvenience.

It always amazes me that the villains are generally well known to all and sundry yet the police can’t seem to be able to remove them from the streets. I’m not going to mention the nationality of these people, for fear of adverse remarks, but let me just say that they are not local Mallorcans. Targeting holidaymakers is the most miserable, lazy and reprehensible way of “making a living” that I can think of. Utter scum.
