Hibiscus now has a note in its front door window saying “closed until 2022” which is a great shame as it has always been a reliable mainstay of the winter season.

Centric is closing for the season tonight (Sunday 28 November). It’s going to be a very quiet Christmas in the Port for choice of restaurants this Christmas and Winter even compared to last year.

Yes! There seem to be far more places deciding to close this year :(

Casa Vila di Mare has just announced they are closing immediately until 2022. The winter dining out options in the Port are rapidly diminishing!

Another one bites the dust.

Cafe 1919 has closed for internal refurbishment. I have posted some photos on the ‘I Love Puerto Pollensa’ Facebook group for viewing if they’re approved for external consumption by the group’s management/custodians.

There are no notices up for how long the refurbishment closure of Cafe 1919 will be for and I don’t know if any other contributors have more info but, at present, the winter dining and drinking out options are becoming very limited. The good news is that La Lonja has announced today that it plans to reopen in December but does not yet have a precise date that it will do so.

I just saw in 1919's story that they're closed for this week for the refurb, but back open on Saturday 👍

It is going to be very quiet this winter though isn't it :(

Sparky - I have just remembered that La Giravolta is open all year round. The hours, from memory, are Monday to Friday 9 am till 1 pm and 4 pm till 11 pm, Saturday 9 am till 11 pm and Sunday 9am till 5 pm.

GG, where is this?, i have never heard of it .

Yes - it is the Italian restaurant behind Duva beside the padel courts. They have a website and FB page.

Looks like the Port is going to be even quieter than usual for the winter. Couldn’t come in November because of having COVID- even though double jabbed and now boosted. So coming in January for a week - looks as if only Stay will be guaranteed as open. Just wondered if Portofino is staying open and Celler le Parrar? Anyway will be good to get out to see friends and make sure the apartment is OK.

La Llonja which had closed for the season is going to re- open, although no date has been given yet. They are obviously taking advantage of the restaurants that have decided to close. I love the upstairs part of the restaurant so looking forward to going if we come out in January :)

Hi sparky, it says on their Facebook page it’s the restaurant that’s reopening. I was quite surprised as Miguel told us he would be closing end of October and reopening in the New Year. He usually travels in Dec/Jan but maybe with things still so uncertain with the pandemic he’s decided not to this year. Maybe he thought it too good an opportunity to miss with so many others places closing that normally stay open :)

There is a lovely table upstairs which is still outside which has a heater which is a lovely spot if it's mild enough. Failing that the indoor tables at the window are cracking and cosy.

Pollenca seems very quiet. Ca’n Moixet is closing every Tuesday and I haven’t seen Onze open since we arrived yesterday. Maybe open at the weekend? La Font del Gall was as good as ever and it was a novelty to sit inside with the heating on!

It is quiet just about everywhere and many places are now only open at weekends. I think Covid, unsettled weather and lack of money are the main reasons :(.

La Llonja have posted that they're opening La Cantina again from Wednesday 22nd! Every noon apart from 25th & 26th December.
We love to sit there with a drink and snack so this is great news, especially with so little to choose from at the moment :)
