Smoke Alarms

Hi All

Having recently purchased an apartment we are in the process of getting it ready for our use and also rental use. Our apartment has no smoke alarms, would you recommend we get them installed and hard wired or do you use battery operated. I would be happier with hard wired, any advice would be gratefully received

Best deal is to get smoke and carbon monoxide detector combined unit from Argos and bring them out and screw them up. Cheaper and better not easy to get combined units here and if you are renting I would think you would want Carbon monoxide as well as smoke Argos also deliver here I believe. And they do a unit that speaks its brilliant. If your around you are welcome to come and look at the unit we have one instaled
