Tolo officially opened up again last saturday and we had some really lovely meals there this week. Food and atmosphere better than ever. We had an amazing night there Friday, it was packed with locals dancing to a live band.

fantasic night

I have to agree with Pops (cause I was there dancing to a Cuban trio;))

Yet to have a bad meal there.

Like so many others (and for obvious reasons) its often the 1st and last watering hole.

On a cold February night a few years ago in Tolo's I was introduced to a new friend Cara Jillo, she is beautiful, dark, strong, sweet and makes me feel all warm and cosy. She saw me home most nights over the past week

Take care

Robjay

Only Robjay can make a coffee with brandy (carajillo) sound exciting lol.

Had lunch here on easter Sunday. It had been raining hard, and the restaurant was a bit chilly but the place was full.
I love the bruchettas served as an appitiser but we did have to ask for them after a while. The confusion arose because we ordered coffees as soon as we arrived as we were so cold. So when the waiters were dashing about with the bruchettas in their hands, they obviously thought we were finishing off our meal! But the food was good and their house salad is excellent.
The bustle is all part of the charm.

Is that the Tolo Salad with the walnuts. fruit, avacado and feta and mozzerella cheese? abs delicious. I keep trying to make it bur doesn't taste the same.

Thats the one! And there were other tasty bits in it too. As you say, you can try these things at home Pops, but its the freshness of the produce that makes all the difference!
