This has only recently opened after being closed for a few years. The new very friendly owners, Erika & Reuben, have made a lot of changes to this "Tardis".
It is now a bar & buffet serving traditional & international food, there is a large selection of food to choose from, eat as much as you like with wine for 12€, children under 3 eat free. They also do breakfast for 7€ and are open every day from 9am til late. :D

Rember the old Tots when people used to queue every night to get in. Changed days! Wish them well, there's a lot of competition around them in that area.

Smiddy can remember those days well when our 'babies' were about 6 and 8 and they wanted to go to Tots every night! We used to sit on the wall and wait...and wait..and wait so they could see their favourite waiter Jonjo  Good old days!

We remember those days very well, when Catherine and her husband, Jaun? ran it themselves they were kept very busy as it was so popular and with babies and toddlers in the early/mid 80's it was ideal.

I have many happy memories of Tots when Kathy and Juan? ran it pre Tango and Trio. They did the best Spag Bol and the mixed grill was enormous:D

Spent many an hour proping up the wall opposite, waiting for a table and watching the old guy who lived opposite trying to get his car in and out of his garage:eek:

Raffael (Raffa) who used to work there now owns Aries bar by the Rosa Blanca.

We would love to try Tots when we go to PP in a few weeks time. Could someone give us directions please?

We remember going to Tots many years ago on our first visit to PP , our son absolutely loved it, when over in the port each time in the last few years it was sad to see the space empty. At easter that street was so quiet. We will try it again on next vist and my son who is now 10 is delighted with your news, we have so many photos of us having great craic outside and watching thew world go by. Thanks for the update.

Regard Jat

We used to love Tots when the kids were young, like others we queued to get a table and the heat in that street was fantastic, the smells of the food and noise of people chattering it was brilliant.

We had dinner in Tots last night and it was lovely, the food was cooked and presented well with hot and cold dishes, salad, tomato & onion, beetroot, olives, cucumber & orange, a kind of trampo, Spanish omelette, spinache croquettes, potatoes cooked 4 different ways, stuffed aubergines, rice, mixed veggies, sausages, pork ribs, chicken wings, estofado, callos (tripe) and calamaris. There was also a selection of home made desserts.
You eat as much or as little as you like for 12€ pp including wine, i think this restaurant is a great addition to the Port and am sure it will be very popular especially with families :D Here are a few photos Tots bar & buffet. - a set on Flickr

Great photos Sparky, nice looking place and the food looks beautiful, thanks for sharing!

I forgot to say that there are 3 chefs working on a rotating shift pattern which adds to the variety ;).

Could someone please give some directions to get to Tots or a road name please?

Thanks Sparky! We will be over in a few weeks time so we have added Tots to our list for evening meals. We know how to find it now!

Different and interesting.

As long as it's all fresh, local (as possible) and home made it looks well worth a try..............good luck to them.

P.S. - blimey Sparky, they'll be thinking you're the Spanish equivalent of the "Hotel Inspector" at this rate !!!! Do you hide your camera under a coat or do you just brazenly "whop it out"?!

LOL!!! @ Nick, i am no sniper with a camera. All the shots i take are from out in the open and with the full consent of the owners ;);).

Great report Lyn and I agree its wonderful to see someone offer something different. This should be a great hit in times of crisis, sensible price, well presented, plenty of variety and nice traditional decor. I shall give it a try asap. Thanks for the report and the photos... shall pop along on Thursday for the tapas to have a look and take it from there.

They have a few of these type of restaurants in the Canaries which i tried, the food was fine, but they obviously lack the actual dining experiance of a proper waiter served restaurant. More like a "all inclusive hotel" and the joys that go with it. But, this will be a god send to hard pressed families, will suit them fine, at 12 Euro it's a bargain, I'm sure it will do very well.

HI Sparky,

Thanks for the report - this sounds like a great place. Did you try the wine? is it drinkable? (got to get my priorities sorted!!! ;))

Hi Car77, yes i forced myself to try the white wine ( oh!!! the things i have do for you lot);). It was very palatable, we finished the bottle...well it would have been rude not to wouldn't it ;):D.
