Venue for 60th birthday for 50 guests

Morning, yacht club came back to me with option of 3 course and drink package which is working out really expensive. Inspira can do bbq , but not sure how far out this is from sea front in Puerto Pollensa. Just waiting on Can Josef and La Rovina getting back to me. Thank you so much for all of your help with this.

If Inspira is the old Finca 49, as the crow flies it’s about 5 kms away from the sea front.

Personally, I can’t see La Rovina being an option for a family get together.

May I be rude and enquire what sort of price the yacht club are demanding per person ?

The Boxing Day and New Year’s Day menu, including wine and coffee and live music, but not drinks at the bar was around 45/50 € per person.

This of course taking into account that on those days staff usually demand a higher salary or overtime.

Paul emailed the full 3 course menu which has main courses at £30 and the drink package is £20/ person at the table. Which could work out costly dependant on what people choose. Do you think they would do a buffet style as I am really not sure on numbers and my son keeps inviting more people.

Confirm you are talking in £ and not € and includes the VAT @ 10%
I am not sure what you mean by drink package.
Do you mean that the £ 30 is for the 3 course menu, with a variety of options (fish or meat) for the main course, and the £ 20 for wine during the meal and spirits and drinks consumed afterwards, and possibly before ?
If so, personally I don’t find that overpriced.
The setting is one of the best in the Port, in my experience the food and service has always been top notch, although others may disagree, and they have their own free parking right outside the front door.
I’ve never seen a buffet being served there, and quite frankly I doubt that it would be very much cheaper as the kitchen would have to factor in the cost of the unconsumed food and they would still need staff to remove cutlery and tableware.
Maybe you could ask each guest to donate £ 10 towards the bar bill ?

I don’t think anywhere does a buffet. Some places will do a set menu as long as they know in advance and you pay for drinks on top.
I also don’t think anywhere would be too pleased if you book for a certain number and many more then pitch up.
I hope you find a suitable venue soon.

Thank you , for above . I will speak to aul and arrange menu , as you say is an amazing venue. Thank you for all your help with this, is hard arranging when you cant speak to anyone. I am so looking forward to coming to Puerto Pollensa again , is a magical place.

Totally agree Julian...for venue/location seems very reasonable.
Hazel...I personally would tell my adult son to either stop inviting more people or tell him to pay for any new guests he wants there.

Thank you so much for all your help , we are just home this morning , had an amazing week with family and friends in Puerto Pollensa , we had Jamie’s 60th in ca’n Josep . We can’t thank them enough , food was amazing , we had 46 with a three course diner option , wine on tables and a free bar , the service was great , staff were so friendly xxx
