Hello
As a new member and long time visitor I am looking forward to joining the various discussions on here, and look forward to our week long (not long enough) visit this August to see all the improvements and different restaurants around the port, as we didn't visit last year.

Welcome to all our recent new members. Enjoy loosing an hour of each day as you catch up on new posts and check all the webcams - I certainly do:D:cool:

Hello all,

I am a new member to the forum. I have been holidaying in P.P for the past 6 years and love it! We bought an apartment last year and have rented it out via advertising on Homeaway.com. Lots of bookings for this year so hopefully all will go well.

Any hints and tips from other owners would be appreciated...do's & dont's etc..as I am new to the rental business too.

The forum seems a great place, full of useful info from people in the know so I am learning loads about the place - thank you!

Tanya

Joining in at last

We bought a flat in Puerto Pollensa in 2000 and have been reading the posts daily on this forum since it started. Lots of useful information has been gleaned by me thanks to participating members. Time now to be less selfish and join in.

Hello PP Forum

Hi all, new member here.

We've been travelling to PP on and off for the last 24 years and have just returned(yesterday) from our 5th stay at The Hotel Uyal, a great trip albeit very hot!

Hopefully I'll have something to add to the forum discussions going forward.

Cheers.

Just don't mention the pedestrianisation and you'll be fine!!!

Welcome to New Members

Hi All

A hearty welcome to all our new members (can't believe I am saying that after only 1.5 years as a member, although 25 years plus as a visitor). Hope you all have really great holidays, and please let us all know of all the good things about, and around, Puerto Pollensa that we may not have discovered yet!!

hi from the tunstalls

Hi all. Looking forward to getting to know everyone and dipping into your knowledge. We have visited pp for around 8 years now and love visits. So much so that we are contemplating purchasing property in the area. We viewed a few last year and over this summer but I have to say we've had a slight wobble now due to discovering about the government legislation around "illegal renting". It would be a big part of our plan to rent out the property when we can't make it there so we're now worried that this would be a problem for us?
We'd love to hear from anyone who may have some advise from your own experiences rather than professionals who we know have a vested interest in us buying regardless.
Is it a bad time to be buying in your opinion?
How does this licensing work, do some properties have one, is it easy to apply?
Any thoughts much appreciate.
We arrive this Tues the 25th until 2nd for viewings but having a real dillema now as to whether to go ahead?

Welcome to the forum :D. You will find some info re-renting here http://www.forum.puertopollensa.com/living-working-pollensa-area/12811-update-illegal-renting.html but if you want answers to specific questions please post in the "Living and working in Pollensa" section of the forum ;).

Hi everyone we have joined the Forum as we are buying a house in Pollensa Town in a week or so as a holiday home initially and would like to get to know more about the area and what's going on. My name is Jared Mitchell and my is Marie and we are from Derbyshire in the midlands and have 2 children Tom & Lily who are 19 & 17.

I have an initial question which somebody may be able to help me with? I am looking at renting my property out sometimes during the year can anyone recommend and agent who markets and manages properties to a high standard either in Pollensa or Port Pollensa? My estate agent has offered but they sound expensive to be honest based on previous experience?

Thanks all
