Not a new member, more a lapsed member. I used to be a fairly regular contributor to the forum a good few years back. Primarily because of illness I haven’t been to the Port since 2009, but now that is behind me we are planning a return next year to celebrate my wife’s 50th and (fingers crossed) two graduations.
Par for the course, even though it’s over a year away, now we’ve decided to go I’ll undoubtedly be spending plenty of time on here checking out trip reports and planning our all important restaurant visits etc.
Lovely to see that there are still some familiar name on here, hope you are all well, and hopefully PP has continued to thrive and remains the lovely resort we remember (even in these tough economic times)

hello, my names emma. i used to live in puerto pollensa and work in alcudia as a singer between 1994 and 1998. best years of my life. still friends with Guillermo who plays guitar in pollensa, and who I've seen advertised on here a few times too. I visit the island a few times a year if I can. hoping to be out in August to see my friends new baby.

hi
new to the forum but have been to PP many times but not for last 5 years.
Having visited many other places little compares to PP so thought I would join in the forum before booking to come back home!

take it easy

Hi and welcome Take it easy, i hope you do come back to PP and look forward to reading your posts :D.

Hello PP Forum!

Hello everyone,

I'm delighted to finally get around to posting a message on the PP Forum.

I visited PP for the first time in 2000. I was holidaying with my best friend from school days (we were in our late 30's at the time). We were hooked from that very first visit and have been every year since then! We are now in the year of our 50th birthdays and hope that we will be able to visit for many more years to come. We leave the husbands and offspring at home and can't think of a better place to unwind.

Puerto Pollensa is just perfect :)

Thanks, Sparky! It may take me a while to navigate the forum (it's the only one I've ever visited) but I'm looking forward to finding out more about the place that we've become so fond of. I'm always curious to know what it's like out of season so will go and have a poke around!

My hubby is a cyclist so I feel there may be some 'training' trips on the cards - hooray!

:)

Hi there. I'm new to the forum and will be new to Puerto Pollensa when we visit next year. I love Spain and have recently visited Frigiliana near Nerja and Fornells in Menorca. I have heard a lot about PP over the years and thought it was time I gave it a go. Will be looking for tips and advice on here as we are currently in two minds about whether to base ourselves in PP or Pollensa town.

Wanny, welcome to the forum. Please do have a read through the various sections and if you have any questions i am sure we will be able to answer them for you :D.

Having been coming to Puerto Pollensa since children were at primary school. Always went self catering and really enjoyed eating out at nights. Two years ago,one at Uni and other at college,so last twice we decided to go ourselves All Inclusive. We've missed our favourite restaurants so much, have decided to go self catering again this year. Have been reading Forum for years and thought I'd do a trip report myself for a change. Will visit our old favourites,Stay,Brisa Marina,Celler La Parra,Trio and Nicos. Hope they're still as nice. Want to try at least one recommended restaurant we haven't tried yet. Will do a trip report after returning.
