Good news guys, poles are going up and beds have been delivered to the Llenaire end of the beach :D.

Yes! Just spotted them from the bus back from alcudia. Hurray! Shame we go home on Sunday

Well instead of posting what I just said to Chels , I'll post

......JOLLY GOOD SHOW :)

It's an absolute b----y disgrace that the sun beds and brollies are only now being put on the beach, many holiday maker's will vote with their feet to area's that have got their act together, and supplied the facilities that tourist's need.

Great news !

One hopes lessons have been learnt but I doubt it !

I will tell my husband he wont now have to take 2 sunbeds a brolly or 2 a Portaloo and toilet tent and possibly a camping shower to the beach !!

Just Wine Water and suntan lotion !!

Purely out of interest :-
Does anyone know exactly how many 'Beds and Brollies' are to be put in position at the different resorts (Puerto Pollensa, Cala san Vicente, Formentor) as part of the 'contract'.
Many hundreds at PP from Llenaire all the way up to beyond the I'lla D'Or, A lot less at Cala San V, even less at Formentor. Are figures included in the contract documentation?

I think Embats toilets are their own attached to the bar

Did not know that i presumed they were council as last year they were €1 to use ,and tamerells were free as they all ways have been.

Just had dinner at Swing...another post for another time!

Lots of late night beach action with tractors and JCB's delivering muchas hamicas a la playa :) Yay

Me too - Must have been sitting near you, watching the same nocturnal developments.

Poles up at Tamarells, beach chairs piled up beside the wall, awaiting distribution.. :)

A very pleasing sight !

Only one company applied ( if thats right ) and same as last year Didnt really think anyone else would have that many beds and brollies in their Garage !!

Beds on the beach just up from Bahia

Poles going in on Pinaret beach. An 'an elf and safety nightmare watching tractors weaving quite fast in and out of people sunbathing on the sand. One came so close to a man I let out a squeal  I think he was asleep as he seemed oblivious but the tractor was reversing and came within a few feet of him before stopping!!!

Eventually common sense prevailed and they started marking out sections and asking people to move.

Hopefully coconut hats on tomorrow...swiftly followed by beds :)
