Stuck on the sand!

Just got back from our half term break, which was as lovely as ever, but we did struggle on the beach one day with my mother, who is 78 and has a touch of arthritis. She lay down on her towel for a pleasant couple of hours, but when we went to leave she couldn't get up again:eek: I tried lifting her up but couldn't. In the end a very kind gentleman who'd seen us struggling came over and helped me get her up :). Needless to say we had to use the pool for the rest of our stay. This made me realise how the lack of beds this year really has affected certain people :(

For information there were some sunbeds on Formentor today other than the hotel ones. The rest being delivered tomorrow with 'different' ( quote) umbrellas. The price last year for two beds and an umbrella was €21. This year €30!! Plus €10 for parking so makes for an expensive day 😳

What time does the bloke who collects the money pack up then we can sneak down after 4pm

Last year they were coming round quite late..well after 5pm :(:( but that may have been because they were charging half price after 3pm

For information....New stickers just gone up on brollie poles this afternoon with this years prices.

I bed and brollie €10 2 beds and brollie €15

There will be no reduction after 3pm

So that's £164.00 for two week holiday no weekly rates ?? rather sit on one of the new concrete seats for free. ;)

Increase ? Perhaps they are trying to get back about 6 weeks lost income (when compared to 2015) due to the shambles to date.

Shame the poor holidaymaker has to suffer though.

Prices

Is this another way to deter Tourists from coming to PP the council are really trying there best to encourage people to go else were. 15 euros a day is out right robbery that's me off the beach. Got holiday planned for September/October but after that who knows?

It does seem very expensive We will still pay it but could be prohibitive for a family Perhaps some of the shops near the beach should start hire services

We only paid 8 Euros in greece about 2 years ago and similar on the Costa del Sol

15 euros!
Absolute joke.
I am sure we paid only 11 or 12 euros last year. Do they really want to give people a reason to do something else or go somewhere else?

I know it's still not peak season, but it seems to me that lots of people are choosing to lie on the beach without using the beds and brollies:rolleyes: I'm only seeing this on the webcam so perhaps the beds are busier further along.......or.........are people choosing not to pay the high charges:eek:

Up from 11 Euro in 2014 and 12.50 Euro last year (as per the 2015 thread).

15 Euro is a bit stiff.
And no reduction after 3 pm is just gouging.

I'd have thought the aim of a beach resort is to keep regulars happy and not deter new guests.
